Lol at Rogers complaining about that pitch not being a strike. Sorry you start the ball an inch above the ground.
Will Smith in his bag this series. Time to get a simulated game in tomorrow where the offense gets utterly dominated in preparation for game 5.
Gonna be on suicide watch for game five after giants make diving catches all over the field and knock in the game winning run with a dribbler to third.
I’m trusting thus random twitter user to uphold my confirmation bias that we have been the better team and this series should already be over. I’m pretty sure we’ve had more hard hit balls as well.
it just occurred to my dumb brain that Dodgers won't have home field in the NLCS if they win tomorrow. But they would have it for the WS if they face Boston. weird.
It's my understanding that a wild card team will never have home field (regardless of win total) unless playing the other wild card (Red Sox).
Wild card team can’t get home-field in division or league championship series. In the World Series the team with the best record gets home-field. https://news.yahoo.com/dodgers-could-ultimate-home-field-172000815.html
Our bullpen has been good all year. I trust knebel and someone else to get through the first 2-3 innings if that is the plan. Still need to hit Webb for it to matter
also, as much as it may pain people to hear, Dave Roberts (and the other internal coaches/employees helping make these decisions) have done enough to earn our trust over the past 16 months imhv
I think this type of shit makes baseball less fun to watch but I’ve got no issues from a strategic standpoint, the moments that have infuriated me the most by Roberts over the years were him going more gut than math (leaving Kershaw in too long and the worst was bringing him in vs the Nats) so I’m not gonna bash him for trusting the analytics
I sure hope they let Knebel and Julio know that this was an option well ahead of time. If this is something that was presented to them this morning after Julio already thought he was getting the start? Not great, Bob!
I trust the bullpen as well. Still asking them to do something off schedule in the biggest game of the year. Urias is one of the best pitchers in baseball, and he’s proven himself in the big spots. I’d rather just put my trust in that more than anything. Anyways. What’s done is done, and as you mentioned, this entire organization has earned the benefit of the doubt. Just get to Meth Damon in the first couple innings and we ride.
I am a big fan of this move and think it is smart I am not a fan of this at all, just ride Julio Urías he has been clutch everytime in the playoffs I shall edit out one of these options after the game ty
I am getting married this weekend. I am hosting a small gathering of people at a brewery tonight. I’ll be watching the game from afar. Might be for the best. Can just not watch if it goes bad, or rewatch if the game is awesome. Very nervous. Best wishes to all
