Yeah on episode 2, really curious what timeline this takes place in. Is it alternative universe if Japan wom the war, a lot of Japanese influence. I'm not sure if anyone is actually real or not.
Hi yes I watched 3 episodes of this this weekend and what the fuck is going on. I'm into these kind of Black Mirror-esque dystopian technological thrillers but I need a little more information to be given to me in order to really become wrapped up in it. Maybe I'm dumb.
That's a good comparison. It's very Black Mirror-ish, especially in world building. On one hand, they are using these old computers from the 80's, and, on the other, they are capable of AI and very advanced science. There are other instances, but that one really sticks out to me. I'm on the 5th episode and I still haven't decided what I think about it.
We only have 1 ep left. I still dont know if I like it or hate it. Will depend on the ending I guess. Weird show, and am curious to see the ending/ what the whole point was/is
Wrapped up last night. It seems like they took some of the setting cues from Blade Runner as far as futuristic but still feeling like the 80's
I absolutely loved this. Really loved how it took its time and had a slow burn but yet was still building upon itself with each episode.
I hated it. It felt pointless and a show that just watned to do a bunch of weird stuff, just for the sake of being weird, without any real plot or payoff.
The entire thing was a gigantic character progression. Showing how they are today, going through different levels of self discovery, ultimately leading up to them trying to change themselves. It was like a therapy version of Inception.
finished last night, not confused I knew what happened and what they were trying to accomplish. Still don't know what to think though...
