I haven't seen any of the beginning of Illinois games, but has his arrest/situation been mentioned at all? I haven't heard it or seen it mentioned on Twitter. Going to be real awkward if they somehow beat UConn, he wins regional MOP, and he won't be made available to the media

They've mentioned it at the beginning of games. Almost as an obligation to get out of the way, then proceed to fawn over him. I get it - it's probably having the best tournament of any player, but it's pretty icky how effusive they are over him.

 

I figured if it was mentioned, it would be then. Yea, it's gross how it's being glossed over. I feel like Bama/Miller were talked about way more, but at least they could hide behind the he wasn't charged defense. If they win tomorrow, feel like the F4 is going to be a shitshow once non-sports media/activist groups find out (which it should be)

 

I think part of that is Oats kept saying the stupidest shit possible in press conferences. Miller too. Illinois isnt making Shannon available to the press. And since we havent seen anything, I assume Underwood is smart enough not to say anything inflammatory.
