The only show I got sick of was Secret Invasion. The movies have been a let down for me if we are being honest. The last Thor sucked, Ant Man was just a step above that. With all the hate The Marvels get it had been one of the few I actually enjoyed. Also Eternals was terrible. They tried to do way too much and should have made it a show.
Which kinda sucks. I wasn’t looking forward to an evil iron man, I was wanting to see victor Von Doom fuck some shit up and oppress his entire home country type of shit.
That score is already awesome. "FAN-TAS-TIC-FOUR!" Reminds me of the Williams' Superman theme sounded like the trumpets were singing "SU-PERMAN!"
I’m trying to keep an open mind with the Doom casting. It’s something they have to get right and they must have a good plan for how they’re going to pull it off. Awesome to have RDJ back but it could be a big flop. Honestly feels more like a What If storyline of “what if Stark was Dr Doom” and being a main villain in that for a season. For it to work he has to be sadistic and in no way redeemable, complete opposite of being the hero in End Game.
Worth a read and nails a lot of my feelings on. Ironman/VDD. I like RDJ as the character but he’s had his time in the MCU.
My only problem with the casting is it leaves absolutely no middle ground. This is either works perfectly or ruins everything. Lot of pressure to get it right.
When they Russo’s introduced him they said (paraphrasing) “Victor von Doom is potentially the most important and most complicated character in all of Marvel, to play him we had to get the greatest actor on the planet”. I made a little mental note they said his name and not just “Dr Doom”
Spoiler Everything about Gambit was so surreal. Same 90s costume, including the hilariously immovable neck. The cards, the bo, the eyes. Only thing missing was Wolverine calling him "Cajun"
After sleeping on it, I'm of the same mind as last night: I'm okay with the idea that, in some other universe, Tony Stark was a big ally/rival to Reed, then an accident scarred him, broke him, and turned him into a super villain. I'm also cool with VVD being a totally new character, not related to Stark at all, and only "looks" like him in the way that Captain America looks like one variant of Johnny Storm. Either way, let RDJ play the character in a completely new way. We don't need another "Ultron" situation.
Spoiler wesley snipes saying "it's only gonna be one blade" and deadpool knowingly looking at the screen....I almost got up and left cause that wasn't gonna be topped
This is what I was wondering. I'm hoping we never see his face and can avoid a season 6 of Agents of Shield situation.
Then he either isn’t VVD or he isn’t Stark. If it’s the latter, I’d like to know who else got consideration and passed over.
Sunday night and our showing was completely packed. It’s the busiest I’ve seen the lobby of our theater since before Covid. Had no qualms with the 10 year old being there because it was almost ALL families. Tons of middle school and younger kids. No surprise it’s crushing R-rated records.
It changes depending on story. I mean, sometimes he's big enough to hold a planet the way people hold an orange, and sometimes he's just like, I dunno, as big as a skyscraper. ' vs
It's all based on if he's been fed or not. When he's small, he hasn't consumed energy for a long time.
Galactus is an endgame level villain in the comics, but makes more sense as a one off villain in a movie
