Mass Effect 3

I love everything about the witcher except the music. It gets a little old, unless we are talking about Skellige. Skellige is perfect.

 

I couldn't get into the Witcher 3 or Red Dead either. Didn't know IV and I were irl friends.

Hey guys, just reopening old wounds here by watching the launch trailers

 

I played maybe a few hours of the first one. I was hoping for a remaster but that looks unlikely.

 

It was weird for me. I actually played the 3rd one first and then went back and played 1 & 2 in order to better understand the story. It was a dread because the gameplay mechanics of the first one did not age very well.

 

I blindly rented ME1 off gamefly based off my friend's recommendation, having to real idea what it was other than a scifi RPG.

My limited experience with RPGs were with primarily turn based types, which I thoroughly hated. My expectations were mild/non-existent.

These were the "holy crap, this is awesome, I had no idea this was in the game!"
- first landing on Eden Prime and firing an assault rifle while teammates used powers. I kept waiting for the game to pause so the enemies could take their turn
- soon after interacting with the beacon and having the vision
- wait, Joker looks familiar. SETH GREEN!?!?!?
- taking the rover on the Moon. I got chills looking down on Earth. one of my most memorable gaming moments.
- everything that comes with an action RPG. I love levelling up, getting new gear, finding/unlocking little tidbits/areas/etc. (again, I had never played many RPGs as turn based RPGs killed my interest very early into my gaming career)
- boning

I've replayed 1 and 2 recently but I got a couple hours into 3 cause the ending still makes me mad.

ME3 MP was pretty cool, especially on harder difficulties, everyone in a corner with shields throwing warps and pushes and just goin insane

 

Yeah, if this song doesn't give you chills, you're dead inside (or at least everybody died during your suicide mission)

 

Cut the game off after you kill him and it's immensely satisfying.

 

If the Indoctrination theory is true then that somewhat makes up for it.

 

I made it through all 3 in the last year or so. The mechanics of 1 were terrible, but it was such a great series.

how will ME4 tie in with the original trilogy? are they going to pretend that Bighead level finish to the 1st trilogy didnt crush the souls of everyone who played the game?

Yeah I mean what the hell. Everything else is so realistic and makes sense, but the guns and spacesuits.

Just enjoy one of the top 10 gaming series of all time.
