We can update this thread with their updates. So far they have all the coaches done and they are starting on all the non BCS teams so that towards the end it goes quicker. Currently on Sun Belt teams.
Can't remember how long does it normally take for legit rosters (correct names, eligibility, and ratings) to come out?
They'll probably have them done by release day with them getting the game on Thursday.. They said they would be changing some ratings if the projected starters are too low on the depth chart but other than that they don't do rating changes, at least these two guys don't. Will check the forums and see where they are at now.
I guess the rosters are really messed up from reading through some of the thread this is their short term goal as of now. Just a little update where were at. We have 6 teams completely named in the game and saved. 16 teams completely typed ready to be plugged and we have the complete info on every single coach in the game. The researcher has to get far ahead of the typer/plugger. Once the research is comfortably ahead, we can start knowing out 1 team every 25-30 minutes. So thats where we are. Out short term goal is to get 2 conferences completely done my Monday at midnight. The player i replaced Pryor with will have the impact player star on the field.
buckeye02 is the PSN username I feel like those won't be done until the weekend, so then I can start my dynasty I do want a roster with just names though
Yeah looks like they are taking longer than expected. They had the Big 10 done, some of the SEC and 6 other random teams. The non BCS schools are so messed up they said that it's going to take quite awhile, not to mention they are messing with all the retarded accessories that EA put on people. buckeye said about every other lineman has the arms braces, I don't really care but they do apparently. Not sure who is just renaming players for online as I haven't looked at anything other than buckeye's thread.
TBQH who gives a fuck if the lineman have arm braces. As long as they have skin color correct it's good in my book (and I'd rather have that as a secondary thing if it means getting the rosters quicker). But hey, they're doing this for free so however long it takes I guess we can wait.
yeah doesn't bother me as with how the game sounds I wouldn't mind playing quite a few games offline before starting my dynasties/playing online anyways. But as of 7:44pm CST July 11th they had 26 teams completed.
That's not too bad, it usually take about a week so that's on par. I'm really fucking busy this week anyway, I haven't even had time to go pick up my copy yet. lol
Yeah they said the rosters are extremely messed up and with them messing with all the equipment as well it was bound to take longer. Waiting for my copy to get here from Amazon bartscottcan'twait.gif
As long as they have UCF half way decent, they always f up UCF's QBs and freshman. Granted UCF's QB situation before last season was a crap shoot, i feel my alma matter is a pretty respectful program and it would be nice if EA/roster-editors could get their rosters accurate

While we wait for the OS community rosters, go ahead and download these NCAA Football 12 rosters for the 360 and PS3. To get the rosters, go to Team Management, Roster Share, Download Roster and click on Download roster. Only on projected starters that are buried in the depth chart IIRC. If they bump a guy that should be a starter up then they'll bump a guy down a little bit as well.

Not buying until they are complete, these guy do god's work and all, but even after they're done I still have to make a few hours worth of edits..
Seems like they've been taking quite a bit of time this year on them to make them as accurate as possible. They've had the game since last thursday and aren't finished yet. They said EA messed the rosters up so bad that they had to do a ton of research.
I know people get mad at EA, but with all the lawsuits about players likeness, I honestly think some of the fuckups are intentional. It's obvious they randomly assigned dreads, for instance. They know they can be fixed, so it's better for them to not take the chances with more lawsuits. I'm perfectly fine with that.
Yeah I think this is pretty certain. And random things like FSU having a 6'6'' freshman linebacker in there. It's easily worth it for them to save however much in lawsuits when we all download these rosters anyway. Is there a way to edit the rosters on a computer and then have them work in the game (i.e. thru TeamBuilder)? Or does that only work for created teams?
Yeah, Denard not having Dreads when a lot of people suggested he was the reason they brought dreads back, meanwhile a CB on our team has dreads for no reason... First thing I thought too, it was intentional..
Ok. We are now going into the editing/finalizing teams phase. We need you guys to start submitting corrections and edits for teams as you see fit. We have a ton of the communities corrections posts already on file, but would like the posts to keep coming to keep us as up to date as possible. -Keep it organized and easy to read. One team per post if possible. -We DO NOT want depth charts or templates anymore, just corrections. Dont post a bunch of ratings changes as they are mostly opinionated and do not post a bunch of players that we need to add as there is a 69 player limit for each team. Do not post equipment changes either. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR PER TEAM IS: -Players that should be removed from team for any reason. -Players that should be on team, that are not on EA's default roster. -Players that can be put on team in place of guys that need to be removed. -Position changes. -Number changes, IF POSSIBLE. -Class Fixes. -Skin Color Fixes. -Dreads or No Dreads Fixes. -Notify us of 4 or 5 star freshman that are missing. And players that can be replaced in order to put those missing impact freshmen in the game. With your help, we are trying to get these out sometime Sunday at the very best. Please keep your posts easy to read.
Where do we find what they have done so far so we can help with corrections, or are they simply saying this is for after the rosters are released.

I've never done this before but i'm following the directions from that link and when I type in buckeye02 to download his roster it gives me an error saying Unable to Download - The download has failed. The specified User may not have saved roster to download. What am I doing wrong?
They aren't done with the roster yet. I also think they are making a new username when they are finished so the EA thing doesn't crash like it has in the past so there will be multiple names to download from

Thank for their commitment to doing this. I wonder if they are so overloaded with player info that it's a blur or if they now know the teams inside and out so much they would give Phil Steele a run for his money on betting on games.
