Just popped in to the local store and they have: EC 18 & Knob Creek 18 both at 199 Knob Creek store pick (9 year) at 65 Barrell Vantage at 75 Can't decide. Help me.
If they have good store picks I'd go with the KC for 65. I'm not a fan of EC18 at 199. I haven't had KC 18.
local spot emailed about entering their lottery with reward points. picked the rarest looking one to throw some points at. $1499 bottle. even if I win I'm not sure I can do that but woo boy at secondary market for it, Michters 20y.
Last year's that had GTS blended in was really good. Not sure what batch that was. Buddy shared it with me.
I am finally ready to order and setup the Stellum Rye "The Pickle Pick". I think we have access to a decent quantity so I am allowing for larger reservations than previous picks, but I will scale down if there wind up not being enough. This pick was a big hit at our tasting and at 118 proof it packs a nice punch. This pick has a unique combo of vanilla, dill pickle, and rye spices and drinks lighter than it's proof. For those of you familiar with the Stellum releases, this is a Rigel release. I ask that if you do reserve, that you please try to order the same amount when I put up the final order confirm form, otherwise I get stuck with a bunch of bottles. I don't make any money on this. In fact, I probably lose a couple of hundred dollars plus my time when I do these, so please try to reserve what you truly expect to order so I can order the right amount of labels, boxes (size), and bottles. Reserve through the link below... https://forms.gle/mB8bc6LfQiyyeZbF7
tjsblue can you change the thread title to something about the pickle pick? Maybe something corny like: We're A Big Dill Now Dill of the Day Available Dill me in Dill with it
Has anyone come across the Emerald Giant Cask Strength from Redwood Empire yet? Would love to get my hands on a bottle if anyone has it nearby.
They are all the same. I will order the appropriate box size for each. I mean I guess a 6 is easier from the standpoint that 6 go out all at once, but it is really no difference. The box setup time may save me a little bit of time overall.
We are up to about 50 or so right now. Would prefer to get closer to 100 so that he keeps feeding us picks.
And $60 is a great price too folks. Store picks here go for $65 and that doesn’t include the extra expenses we are helping gator with, like boxes, label.
For context, this pick was unanimous. The barrel pick, while we all liked it, was slightly more controversial. This one is great.
