I hope obsidian does it
Consider me crazy, because 4 was one of the most lifeless, boring open world games I've ever played. I'll buy 5 on a deep sale if it's still the same engine without much change. They need to rebuild from the ground up. Taking some hints from games like TW3, HZD, and GoW would probably be a good start
4 was fun, but it was a huge missed opportunity in terms of narrative, character development, and world design.
This one will try to be like fortnite
This better not be another dumb mobile game.
3 remaster imo
I saw a reference to it being an online game. If it's an elder scrolls type MMO, hard pass
Yeah im in
New Vegas-style rpg
They don't even acknowledge that New Vegas existed. Pisses them off that someone else made a better Fallout game than they can.
I liked 4. New Vegas and 3 were much better, but Fallout open world universe always excites me.
Obsidian is not involved, so that sucks because they did great with New Vegas.
Hopefully we are getting a similar spin off game like New Vegas
I would be down with a Fallout MMO. Hopefully they see what didn’t work for Elder Online and could build a great Fallout online universe
I know it gets a lot of hate by TMB, but I actually enjoy ESO. I only started playing it when morrowind came out, so I don't know how bad it used to be. I'll probably end up getting the new expansion when it comes out
Since vault 76 is the first vault opening, we should get to see/participate in the rise of the Enclave
Sounds like it’s an MMO or has MMO elements. Not sure how to feel about that. MMO as part of settlements will make me want to kill myself. However, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t Jonesing to visit this universe again.
No we do not, which is why I don't think it will be one. It's looking like it will be a survival type game with building
So Fallout meets Rust?
I hope it takes place over a fortnite, like fortnite
That was the exact comparison, actually. Some guy posted it somewhere back in like December or something. Had the name right and everything
Guys, dont kid yourselves, its destiny/division/anthem
Hmm, or maybe like state of decay
Just broke out New Vegas.
Love this game.
If its not a 1 player RPG then I don't really give a shit
Looks like a new Vegas type spin off. Trailer looks awesome and looks more in line with last fallouts
Rumor is 4x the size of 4
do you know what a rumor is?
if the ceo of the company says in front of thousands of people that something is true its not a rumor
Don’t be a bitch. I read Facebook comment that stated as much. I didn’t watch the conference.
No need to be a fucking cunt. A simple “the CEO said it was 4x” would have worked.
Yeah Odin dont be a cunt
I was excited for this, but now I just don't know. It sounds like GTA: Online.
It seems like a full blown single player game with the ability to do co op pve or open world pvp with no repercussions? If so, I'm in.
Who going to co-op with me day 1?
That country roads remake is on google music. Must have listened to that 20 times
so they described this as a soft-core survival game where you keep your character and progression upon death. they also mentioned being able to move your bases/camps around.
never played rust but my understanding is that you basically build up a place for yourself, logoff, and come back to some douchebag having burned it to the ground and you basically have to start all over again. so i guess my question is will this be the same way or if you build something, can you just repair it maybe or reset it easily? nothing was really discussed on that front that i saw.
They mentioned if you log on and someone else has a base in a same spot as yours then yours will be packed up and easily moved
but what about base destruction? i'm just going to be irritated if every time i login i have to rebuild my base because it's been destroyed or rotted away or something like in rust (or at least my understanding of rust).
I don't think your base will be visible to others when you are offline. I think you get put in small groups when logging on (think the tower in destiny), and your roster will fluctuate every time you log on. I'd think you would only see bases for users that are currently in your lobby, so to speak
this is a lot more intriguing now than i originally thought it would be.
This is what made me quit playing ARK. My base would always get raided by tribes with a lot of users that were on all the time. The nail in the coffin was me finally getting a nice metal base built in the middle of nowhere and a few Pterodactyls for us to ride around on, only for some son of a bitch to come by on a fucking dragon and destroy everything. He didn't even take anything...just pure destruction.
