F that shit. SHe left her can out in the street for three days! Thinks she has some kind of eternal get out of jail free card because she is a single mom? Nonsense. Plus she has a longhorn emblem on her car. Team passive aggressive neighborhood garbage man.
Somebody keeping their trashcan in the street 3 days after trash pickup is all of RRR's business. When the neighborhood looks trashy (literally) it depresses home values.
Women in my neighborhood are getting solicited by some creeper. One posted about it, after consulting her pastor of course. She feels incredibly afraid now etc. Lots of call the police. Won't name the dude. Won't contact police because they laughed at her when she called for a door ding in a parking lot. Hoping the guy gets named.
Glad I live in an established neighborhood comprised of families with sophistication and class, unlike the catty new money try-hards in River Rock Ranch.
I'm disappointed Saw a post earlier from some chick about leaving your lights off so people could see some upcoming star stuff that doesn't happen often or something Now where I live is very rural, and we dont have many street lights and even have some international association of dark sky or something going on https://www.horseshoe-bay-tx.gov/438/International-Dark-Sky-Association Of course the first reply was someone complaining about that dark sky group, saying they wish they could feel safe walking her dog late if there were street lights like a "real city" or some shot Well I knew were that was headed, and planned on checking in this afternoon to screenshot and post here Checked back and the whole thing is deleted
I try to make a habit of taking screen shots of anything that remotely makes me chuckle but I had one get away from me a few days ago. A modern day topssuite repsonded to a lady that said she was riding a bike near RRR and some guy in a black mercedes suv nearly ran her off the road and cussed at her and flipped her off. A physician hopped on and said cyclists in general are rude because they should be on the sidewalks instead of slowing drivers down on he road. Then went on about how he is a physician and he is important and his patients can’t afford for him to be late because a cyclist is in his way. Here are the remnants of the thread sans most of Dr Barton Skinner’s posts:
Someone should tell Earl Parker that beginning any post with the definition of a word is also trolling.
Holy shit call him out. Can you post gifs in Nextdoor? Insert Jax’s favorite Buzz Lightyear med school gif
Not Nextdoor but in a Facebook group this am somebody put "Who is the group of about a dozen bicyclists who rode through Shandon last night?" Who cares???
Reminds me of this one from two days ago: https://neighbors.ring.com/n/rdnoG To my eye it looks like a regular person riding a bicycle. The panic in RRR is real. These people are on edge 24/7.
the video paired with the post is outstanding. That’s just someone going for a regular ass evening cycle.
Reminds me of another recent RRR story... A couple weeks ago one of my neighbors from 3 houses down is standing in my driveway as I get home from work. Him and his wife are obnoxious as hell but I always play nice when I see him as I do with all my neighbors. Before I even fully open my door he asks if I will sign his petition and hands me a pen. Me: “oh yeah sure, what’s it for?” Crazy neighbor: “the HOA is threatening to fine us up to $2500 for leaving our trashcans out!” Me: “wow that’s crazy! Did they give you any kind of warning?” Crazy neighbor: “Nothing at all. They sent a few letters telling me I need to bring my cans in but nothing else. One thing I want to ask is if you will speak on our behalf regarding the cans at the HOA meeting tomorrow?” Me: “oh man I would but I have to pick up my daughter from gymnastics” So I sign the petition to keep everything kosher on my street. Fast forward to the following day my wife lets me know our oldest will be skipping gymnastics so no need to pick her up. So I head home. And I could not have picked a worse time to do so, the timing was incredible. As I pull up to the 4 way stop who do I see? Crazy neighbor walking towards the neighborhood community center for the HOA meeting. He immediately recognizes me and waves. I wave and proceed to keeep driving to my house. He puts both hands up in the air clearly perturbed I’m not 1.) at gymnastics getting my daughter and 2.) Not headed to the HOA to speak on behalf of him and his trashcans. So I head home. I park and start taking my trashcans in and who do I see coming up the hill? Crazy neighbor! I hurry and get the first can in, then go back and get the recycling can. At this point he is past his house so clearly he is coming to my house. I get inside and less than a minute later the doorbell rings. I have a Ring, and I see he starts peering through the windows. He rings the doorbell two more times with no answer from me and then leaves. Two things to note, we are scheduled to be at their house for their daughter’s bday party tomorrow. And when it comes to leaving their trashcans out it’s not just an extra day here and there. They will leave them out all week at the street and then throughout the week they will take the bags to the cans already at the street. Obnoxious as hell.
“Up to $2500” They’re dramatic as hell who knows what to believe. When I asked him if he had received any warnings he said no then went on to describe prices of paper he got from the HOA telling him to being his cans in. You know, warnings.
he has some shitty neighbors I left town last Tuesday, which is recycling day, and asked my wife on the phone the next day if she remembered to get the recycling can from the street. She said no and walked outside, only to find it in its proper place. My neighbor had seen it and rolled it from the street back to the side of our house for us.
New seafood place in the area getting at some pretty poor reviews, you wont believe what happens next! New seafood place
Little fun update on this one. Ramp noise has pretty much ended (guessing kids just got tired of it). New fun noise has been the kid's "drumming" hobby. He is the worlds shittiest drummer but it doesn't bother me too much because I can only hear it when I am outside. In any event, they are down the hill from me and apparently having some water runoff issues. They came by my house hoping to "open a dialogue about ways we can manage any water coming from your lot". As they sat in my doorway I just laughed for a good ten seconds and then said "not a chance in hell." Spoiler I know, I am such a badass. But the karma did feel pretty nice.
It’s been dry so far this year. It seems to me like that wall of vegetation between you two might need some extra watering this summer.
