They’ve got to suspend that guy for the rest of the year. Insane how many ticky tack roughing flags get thrown and then they let that play.
There’s zero reason he should be playing football at this point if they were serious about player safety (they aren’t)
Does Rodgers make that much of a difference if he didn't get hurt? The offense is hot garbage, especially on the line.
Hard to say for sure because the line is horrific but I would guess yes due to audibles, better adjustments at the line, telling the oline where the pressure is coming from and all of the small details pre-snap. Wilson really never was doing much of that. Also, I think it would be fair time of possession would look a bit better with Rodgers which would help the defense.
looks like a miscommunication to me. but they called Allen for grounding against Cincy for the same thing.
offensive line is bad. WRs are bad, especially in light of the Lazard / Cobb signings Aaron demanded.
Maybe some of the close loses are flipped to wins but I can't imagine we would be thinking of them as a team that makes a run in the playoff sitting at a hypothetical 6-4 today.
Yeah with this offensive line you can’t expect to do much, but I don’t think a wildcard spot would be out of the picture for the Jets like it is now. Either way, the Jets will be able to pick a lineman in the first round now instead of the second.
Tim Boyle's college stats are something else. laughing at Aaron Rodgers' jokes in the QB room is a great way to a lengthy career, I guess.
Pretty sure Geno Smith was called for the same thing when Seattle played Detroit earlier this season. That was the first time I had ever seen grounding called in that scenario.
I would have no problem if grounding were eliminated under scenarios when there's no immediate pressure, while being made harder to avoid getting called for it when under pressure. That's the intent of the rule to begin with.
And coaches. I saw a clip recently from one of his McAfee interviews where he said he doesn't like Dan Campbell because he said some things he didn't like about Joe Philbin when he was named the interim coach with the Dolphins 10 years ago. And there's the Payton/Hackett stuff. And he was always trying to get broadcasters to prop up his QB coach Tom Clements for promotions and other gigs.
due to illness and extreme profit from selling my ticket I will be posting through Monday night football with you fine gentlemen
Avg ticket price dropped $250 overnight. We sold about a week and a half ago but I was still gonna go tailgate and watch the game on the bus until I started feeling a little under the weather
I don’t understand how the Jets can talk them into starting Boyle. Wilson sucks but I just don’t get it.
Tim Boyle racked up lots of scout team reps with Lazard years ago when they were both obtained off of the scrap heap. Cobb might have gotten in on that too when he was acquired from one of the worst rosters in the NFL at the request of someone and coming up to speed.
I remember when the Lions signed him and GB media acted like he might be better than Goff. Then he had to actually play and he was very much worse. GB folks were right about Jamaal Williams being a delightful human being, though, so 1 for 2 isn't bad.
He had some very good pre-season performances. We haven't had much actual in-game evaluation of back up quarterbacks over the past 30 years.
