yeah, I know. That goal was embarrassing. Never blame a player for a goal like that pad inside his own net…
I mean ok. When a puck gets redirected it just causes awkward movements. It’s not like he was set up inside his own net. Just made an awkward move when the puck changed. Not great but I’d say clean goals Bob gives up where he’s out of position are way more embarrassing. This was just awkward.
Of course he’s not. Is anyone saying he is? He’s a backup at best who has had a good couple of games. I’m just referring to the one awkward goal.
Respect to Pederson but I kind of dislike seeing stuff like this. Guy makes an accidental high hit on Bergeron and feels compelled to fight an extremely experienced opponent when he clearly has no idea what he's doing.
I really like Levi, he will be a good nhl goalie not ideal size but so smart and hockey iq is great, always in control.
There's gonna be some really, really good goalie prospects coming in the next year or two between Levi, Askarov, Wallstedt, Dostal, and Wolf.
And I jinxed him lol Nhl players are stupid good, whenever I watch attentively I realize how slight the margin for error is in this league. the slightest mistakes end up in your net. That was a bit of a weak rebound but that is not easy to gobble up. They pounced on that and it’s in the net.
The Banks was so right on that one, wallstedt was the pick. The wings scouts fell in love with his size. Size is great…. when you stop the puck. People always overthink the goalie position.
We'll see. He's had a good year in Toledo, and the ECHL is a notoriously hard league to goalie in. Jesper was always going to be ahead in development at this point and be more of a sure thing to pan out. Probs a mistake, but they shot their shot..
yeah, I can’t criticize too much cause I loved cossa back then too. He just seems to have stalled a bit in his development but goalies are so hard to read sometimes. Goalies are always a bit ´victimes’ of their teams too. Stats can be very misleading for goalies. Sometimes you can plug a guy that is not doing great in the ahl and with a good team in the nhl he plays like a stud. It always depends on what you face and on your strenghts and weaknesses. But usually the cream rises.
I say stats are misleading for goalies but in the same breath I will tell you that when you see these kind of stats for a goalie, draft him in your fantasy even if it’s early he went in the 7th round only because he is not 6’2 or above
Kakko also didn’t get a good shot off. Either way. Really like Levi, but that’s not really a “wow” save
yeah, that is not his game either. If he has to play out of control like that he won’t be as good as I think he can be. I think he panicked a bit because he had time to go across without opening himself up.
The other issue about how he came across is that he fell flat on his face, that is a no no. Because if the puck deflects anywhere or if you give up a rebound you are dead in the water
Disclaimer. All these criticism are made by a fat soon to be 41 years old who always fall flat on his face when trying to go across his crease to attempt a save that he probably won’t make. In a intra mural league no less… I suck so bad now, almost depressing seeing the plays and not being able to always be on top like I used to be.
I really want mtl to get that lottery pick from the panthers this year, how does it work CF3234 ? If they make the playoffs mtl gets the pick if not the panthers can protect the pick depending on the lottery?
Conditions: The Panthers 1st round pick in 2022 is top 10 protected. In the event that the Panthers retain their 2022 1st round pick, they will no longer own their 2023 1st round pick, and Montreal would instead get their 2024 1st round pick.
This is the 23 draft. The pick is not lotto protected. It goes to Montreal no matter what. The only good thing for the panthers is that the new lotto rules are in effect. Can only move up 10 spots. So if the season ended today and the panthers pick won the lotto, The Habs would get pick 5
Demko is also tracking the puck and reaching for it which results in him ending up face down. Levi was just trying to get across and stick a pad out.
it’s still a technical mistake but it’s not easy, It’s normal for it to happen but the less the better and like you said it’s two different plays, demko was more in desperation mode while Levi should not have been
Nashville waived the white flag on their season 6 weeks ago and they're now 3 points out of a playoff spot with a game in hand. (Mostly due to Winnipeg attempting to crash in spectacular fashion)
calgary has all of a sudden been on a heater as well. That playoff spot went from being a lock to exciting
Pheonix Copley up to 24-4-3 on the season. Absolutely incredible for someone who has largely been an AHL goalie playing on a non-playoff team. Signed for 825K this year with a 1.5M extension for next year.
That’s a great move for sure, but there’s a bunch of guys in the league that do that same deke all the time. Not sure why the rangers are trying to name it after Laf.
There's a significant contingent of anti-K'andre people on Rangers twitter and it's painfully obvious why
