Really needed that tying goal in the second with all the pressure being put on the Caps and it felt like we were building momentum. The optimist in me thinks that would've changed the outcome. I thought we were still in it after the second goal but the third was the back breaker.
Looking at Caps tickets, says starting from $841. Don't think I'm gonna be attending a game at this rate
I think caps fans across the board agree that Tampa should have been ahead in that game at one point. We’re all too familiar with out playing a playoff opponent only to end up on the wrong end.
Every team is different and I don’t know where exactly you live in relation to the caps arena but i found that the best value you could get for lightning tickets was 1pm-4pm on the day of the game. Granted Stanley cup final is a whole different ballgame and washington is a bigger market but I would monitor StubHub to see if that holds true.
I agree. Lightning have expensive concessions (beer is more expensive than MSG) but the tickets are cheap. Was talking more from a fluctuation standpoint. I have season tickets and sold probably 20 games on StubHub the last 2 years and 9/10 times I price the tickets in their “range” of good value. I noticed in the playoffs that they had their value too high early or people just priced tickets higher early. Day of was the best value for a buyer.
There's a lot that goes into it but I don't expect that drop in Washington due to the days of the week Washington has games and the significantly higher incomes in DC I THINK it'll be best last second. But no way to know for sure I'm just happy to game seven tickets will end up under 1500
Odds currently list "7" as the most likely length of the series. I don't think I've ever seen that for a final
You don't know the half of it but I like to think I earn some of it like this time I had five browsers running at the same time and meticulously strategized how to get one. But it still took a lot of luck
Rumor per Friedman is that the Canucks are interested in Noah Hanafin. The Canucks have the pieces, but the move makes no sense right now.
The days off between Pittsburgh and Tampa were welcome, probably mainly because of the damage Pittsburgh has done to my psyche. I'm fucking bored right now even with the nba playoffs, let this shit start.
It’s very good for Washington to get the rest. I also would love a Saturday night game but this is really good for you guys. Vegas will be rusty
yeah the reality that he is one of the best playoff goalies in the league who continues to shit on the Capitals dreams
the teams with records like Vegas through 3 rounds are abysmal in the finals and I should punch myself in the nuts for even mentioning that.
Caps and Vegas currently have same amount of cup finals game wins I believe. I honestly just can’t wait to see the opening in Vegas. Should be a good series w the maf vs ovi story line.
Rusty doesn’t mean not prepared. I get your point and it’s not a bad one. Vegas tackled every challenge so far, with ease. I was just saying that a longer break is way better for the team that played just this Wednesday. Do I really need to explain it to you?
Heard from someone close to Karlsson that his first choice is to be a NYR. And that he will not be signing in Ottawa.
Just part of the bullshit Rangers "rebuild" plans that they outlined to fans. The Rangers know no other way but to bring in high priced vets as they strive for that 8th seed next season. I love Karlsson as a player but want nothing to do with his next contract but its such a Rangers move that it will probably happen.
I get the we have a chance to acquire an elite player under 30 mentally. Nothing wrong with that. But... like you’ve said the team sent out this letter to the fans talking about rebuild, a new direction. Can they save face and do a 180?
I don't think they have an actual plan at all. They send out the letter announcing a rebuild and then trade a bunch of veterans. Once the season ends you hear names like Kovalchuk and now Karlsson. Its a half in/half out strategy that will leave them in a similar position that they were in before sending out McDonagh and the others. I would think hiring a college coach would mean they were serious about a rebuild but you just don't know what this team is thinking. I want to bottom out and draft in the top 5 for the next few seasons but they seem to want to make a run at the playoffs next season which I think is a huge mistake.
Honestly if the Rangers are just going to pick guys like Lias Andersson who have limited upside with picks in the top 10 they may as well just sell out and sneak into the playoffs next year. I expect them to trade up for Tkachuk who isn't worthy of a top 5 pick but has all the intangibles that this team seems to value over skill.
I thought Andersson was good but I’ve seen you hate on him hard. Is it more that he’s a middle 6 guy and you don’t think he has the top line potential or what?
Tkachuk sounds like Lawson Crouse. Never saw either of them play ( other than WJC ) but meh stats in your draft year isn’t worthy of such a high placement. Unless the other kids aren’t of a high level. I know the Sens are high on Hughes and the Finnish C ( kotkniemi ) is a late high riser. Someone who needs a C will take him or move into the top 5 to grab him.
Nope..... Tanev, Edler, Sutter, Gudbranson, and Baertschi. Eriksson isn't going anywhere unless salary is retained. Gagner, Granlund, Del Zotto, and Hutton are trade deadline 4th Rd pick or later depth moves.
