Devils were a great slump buster. I watched the Devils feed last night for a change. I always forget how much their color guy sounds like Dobber from Coach. I like the pbp dude. He's really good.
If it's the rumored 2 second round picks, The Kings are going to have One 1st round pick, Three 2nd Round picks , Two picks in the 3rd and 4th round. And they still have All their picks in the following years draft, w the extra 2nd in that draft too. That's a lot of picks.
biggest fraud in hockey? He is 37 and has been a full-time starter for 12 years. I can't believe he isn't good anymore! what a fraud!
He's never been good and the only time he was considered good was when he had a team and system built around him to protect him.
Going to be a lot of slump busting teams the rest of the way. Panthers are in the middle of 3 straight on the road against SJS, ANA, and LAK. If they can find a way to not screw it up and get all 6 points, I will start to have irrational hope again. Add in Detroit and Ottawa, there are a lot of easy points out there for teams.
Sens have 2 firsts, 3 seconds and 2 thirds so far. The first rounders are at this point are 3/6 (SJ). Plus whatever they get for JGP which could be a first or second. Both teams sitting pretty in this draft. And NJD have three firsts.
So The Russian Five documentary is awesome. So many great 90s hockey memories and brought me back to one of the top 5 goal calls ever.
Needs more random shots, too much right/left/right/left/right/left. Granted I don't know a ton about hockey and should keep my retarded thoughts to myself but the Astros could have gotten wood on those.
Apparently there are some rumors/speculation that the Pens are looking to bring back Conor Sheary from Buffalo
Based on the D prospects Van writers were throwing around, Benning has been saved from himself. Simmonds is useless
When are we going to start talking about that Russian goalie with the ny rangers? shesterkin is a beast
Cant do anything about the worst owner in pro sports. Drafting isn’t the problem tho so we won’t f that up.
And are dominating play . Devils play at a 97 point pace with Blackwood as the starter and like a 20 point pace without him give him the Hart.
Holtby is finally playing well and just getting hung out to dry every game, Carlson hasn't gotten out of all star game defense.
I Have nothing to say, I am half drunk and I moved a tour today, a 1500 pounds tour into the shop, it was a fucking grind
Not going great but I’m in Vegas for Lightning/Knights. First time I’ve been to a lightning road game.
https://theathletic.com/1598118/202...prospects/?source=shared-article&redirected=1 1. Alexis Lafreniere — LW, Rimouski Oceanic, 6-foot-1 At this point, I have little to no doubt about Alexis Lafreniere’s ability to become one of the NHL’s true stars. There have been some slower-than-expected non-Connor McDavid progressions out of several first overall picks in recent memory. Really, in the last 10 drafts, just two players (McDavid and Auston Matthews) have had an immediate, franchise-altering impact. Even Nathan MacKinnon and Taylor Hall, would-be contenders for the Hart Trophy, took some time to get to where they are today. And while Lafreniere isn’t going to have the immediate instant game-breaking ability of McDavid and Matthews, he has what it takes to follow the trajectory of a MacKinnon or a Hall, rather than that of a Nugent-Hopkins or a Nico Hischier. His blend of elite power and puck protection with high-end puck skills as a handler, shooter and passer should make him an impact player immediately. You could stick him on the wing of Anze Kopitar or Dylan Larkin tomorrow, without needing to worry about anything other than his ankle (which he is still taping). Lafreniere’s now got a powerful stride that gives him the explosiveness he needs to cut through lanes and back defenders off, something that was once a (minor) concern. There’s also nothing about his game that makes me worry about his projection. He’s not passive, nor does he try to do too much — he takes calculated risks. He doesn’t tunnel vision as a shooter or passer, constantly surveying the ice for his best options. And he has all of the athletic tools he needs. When people lean on him, it’s like he doesn’t even notice they’re there. Even without the hardest shot or the quickest feet in the draft, he’s the clear best player and there shouldn’t be much — if any — hesitation for any team with the first overall pick. 2. Quinton Byfield — C, Sudbury Wolves, 6-foot-4 Any concerns about Byfield’s skating or puck skill among scouts have surely faded by now. These days, Byfield’s top speed has progressed to a point where he can make a ton of things happen through the middle of the ice and his hands help him make small area plays that kids his size normally can’t. If I have one outstanding concern with Byfield’s game it’s his defensive play. There are little things like his faceoff ability (he’s 50 percent on draws this season, which normally translates to the mid-to-high 40s at the NHL level) and more pronounced things like his first couple of steps and the way they can contribute to him standing around instead of closing off on opposing players, as well as his tendency to misread plays. Otherwise, it’s all there. He can play with pace, he’s dangerous in tight, he can score from mid-distance with his release, he’s extremely hard to take the puck off and he’s an excellent playmaker for his size, routinely making plays through defenders that some high-skill smaller players even tend to struggle with. 3. Lucas Raymond — RW, Frölunda HC, 5-foot-10 4. Alexander Holtz — RW/LW, Djurgårdens IF, 6-foot 5. Marco Rossi — C, Ottawa 67’s, 5-foot-9 6. Tim Stützle — LW, Adler Mannheim, 5-foot-11 7. Cole Perfetti — LW, Saginaw Spirit, 5-foot-10 8. Jamie Drysdale — RHD, Erie Otters, 5-foot-11 9. Anton Lundell — C, HIFK, 6-foot-1 10. Yaroslav Askarov — G, SKA-Neva St. Petersburg, 6-foot-3
