that season felt like a fluke that was slightly caused by scheduling

this team feels good

 

Leas linebacker usage is amazing. He always has the right one in to utilize their strength and limit exposure to their weakness

 

I thought White was going to get exposed, but using him to stuff the run and take away the RPO was great.

 

I don’t know if it’s us being in the conference now, or is really being that good. Probably a bit of both. But opposing coaches are saying things about this team we’ve never heard before under Kelly.

SEC programs can match anything we pay him. That's the issue. Hopefully he doesn't want to try to build a program from scratch yet. He's really young but it's obvious he has an eye for talent.

 

Vandy can but won't. iirc they unloaded their entire SID just to save money.

 

Give Lea anything he wants. The guy is a damn fine coach. Would love to see him get a shot at ND as HC but he doesn’t yet have any head coaching experience - Typically a no-no for a job like ND.

Seems we either have to let him leave for the right HC opportunity or we give him a shot to run it all if he sticks around long enough.

 

Man you really have to love your alma mater to take $2.5-3 million at Vandy over staying at ND for $2 million and waiting for a better job.

Zeke was the second highest ranked recruit in that class behind Hamilton. Maybe one of the best signs of the health of the program is important players missing time and your highly regarded young players stepping up given the opportunity. And it's not as though there weren't mistakes (several bad snaps) but they handled their business
