Reading the tea leaves. I think he may have said Napier and then Napier chose florida and it’s why they are now super worried he goes. Apparently the fl qb who just decomitted did so because the staff told him they were going for a highly ranked qb to join him
Our 247 guy said he's doing a in-home with a recruit down there but I can't say he's not going to talk to BK either.
Apparently we have communicated with him. That’d be a nice add if it’s real. that’s quite a situation to be in — Napier comes in, tells him they are going to recruit another QB to compete with him, he de-commits a week before NSD and he is an EE to boot.
So someone on some podcast told this story about bk’s first signing day. he personally called all but one of our commitments after they faxed their letter in. The press asked him about it and his response was “well, if there was a party and no one called to invite you would you really show up?” The brass at nd called in favors so it wasn’t printed
Cam Roberson? I faintly remember something about how Kelly didn’t want him after he arrived but he was already committed
We played Evers the last 2 years. He throws a beautiful ball. Runs ok when he opens up. He has zero speed on his team at WR so they have a hard time getting open vs man. He does a good job of attacking zones but does miss some reads. But man the ball comes off his hand nice. Would love to see him with some elite talent around him.
It’s tin foil hat like but I wouldn’t put it past him. The communication just stopped and we had nothing further about the “why.” We needed a 2nd QB and we stopped talking to him around the time (a month before) when LSU apparently reached out for the first time.
It’s the same narrative with most of the elite QBs we’ve targeted. A mix of “too little, too late” and “settling for lesser talent”. A Brian Kelly coup de grace.
ISD update on Entringer. Sounds like we may have more people coming back than expected? Not sure how we wouldn’t have room Spoiler We reported it when 2022 Michigan safety Koen Entringer received a scholarship offer from Notre Dame on Monday, but Entringer never made it to our Target List and it doesn't seem like he will. I'm told that numbers are a bit tighter than initially believed. What does that mean? I couldn't say to be honest. I do know it doesn't say anything about the status of Devin Moorebecause I was told "we'll see tonight" with regard to Moore, longtime ND commit who decommitted last weekend and has said he plans to take an official visit to Florida this weekend.
I used to do the scholarship math but now with the covid year i have no idea how many years people have left plus the transfer portal changed everything
I don’t want to lose Devin Moore in the slightest but seeing BK bring Cooks on instead of keeping one of the best recruiters and DB coaches in the country is insane.
