It sucks that Nd can’t just destroy this team, just a few mistakes. Happy with the win but the spotlight is going to Michigan for blowing out psu. If Nd destroyed northwestern it would be a bit different. Just a bit frustrating but overall hard to be mad
Was at a wedding that ran out of beer before dinner* and didn't have the game on TV...# *they went and got a lot more great bet so we good #they put it on TV once bama lsu got out of hand, so we're good there too Fuck that game though
Michigan had to come from behind against this same northwestern team. I get what youre saying, but I'm not going to allow idiots to dominate the conversation* I don't mean you I hope that's clear** **Let's grab a beer
So #11 Florida, #14 PSU, #15 Utah, #16 Iowa, and #17 Texas all lose... meaning there's a decent chance Syracuse jumps from #19 to #14 this week and then they play pitiful Louisville at home next week, so should be in the #11-14 range when we play them in two weeks. Still think we're out with 1 loss, but like the chance for a fairly marquee win just by definition of a team moving up the rankings.
The ushers were letting people to go outside to port a Johns because everything was so crammed. They had no damn clue what a real football game is. The whole thing was high school level weird.
sure its' been talked about but im still coming down from the wedding where i couldn't really watch but... going back to this am at gameday - talk about fucking overrated. fucking lsu got exposed. and after we beat them a few times the last 4 years - fuck off chanting that bull shit. i'm glad you and ed o got your shit pushed in tonight. although i would have loved to play you in the cfb playoff in december
was also laughing at the overrated chant. i wish we faced Burrow in our bowl game. it wouldve been a blowout.
CFBP will be tarnished until they remove preseason rankings. I dont think anyone should be ranked until w6 too. Look at all these turd SEC teams that get ranked because they slightly edged another SEC team? Their point differentials are all trash if you subtract their annual FCS win. Its a ridiculous bias that theyre automatically good even though theyre pussy ass conference allows them to schedule a literal cupcake to rape. For instance: If you remove aTm FCS win vs the Mighty Demons of Northwestern State, theyre overall point diff is 202-193. How the fuck did anyone consider them a top 25 team.
If you entered via a gate on the opposite side of the stadium as your seats, there was essentially no practical way to get to your seat. It took my dad and I (and many other people who made this mistake) the whole first quarter to get to our seats. The small tunnel ways that allowed you to cross sides of the stadium were entirely filled up with hundreds of people trapped, unable to move. If there had been some kind of emergency, it could’ve been really bad. Like someone else said, it felt like a high school stadium or something.
The one bonus of their shit stadium is that the guard rail yes a temporary guard rail that separated fans from the ND “tunnel” was like 3 feet tall, got a cool video of the team hitting the field, and post game I hopped it to say hi to my mayor.
So this is the third game we have let an opponent back in it bc if special teams....Polian must be a hell of a bagman
For real though, take the 7 away from Mich, 7 away from Va Tech, and 7 away from Northwestern does that change the narrative about ND?
They implied yesterday that they'd be going there. I wouldn't be surprised if they go to Yankee stadium
Completely agree. Unfortunately I don’t think preseason rankings will ever go away. It’s too good of a marketing tool for them to be able to bill a game as a top 10 or whatever matchup for them to just throw it away
I’d dig it. Makes me want to go to that game even more. I’ve been so out of the loop. Just need to truck FSU.
Bored and waiting to order pizza, so I jumped into the NW rivals board, in a sea of bullshit I found this gem "I came away from this game thinking that we are the better team and that if we lined up against them tomorrow that we would win."
They were charged with zero penalties, didn’t commit a turnover, held us scoreless inside the 5 yard line, blocked a punt deep in our own territory, and converted a bunch of 4th downs (including a ridiculous one handed catch) on their touchdown drives. They did almost everything right when it comes to an underdog trying to pull a big upset. And they still lost by 10.
Went to their board all week long, they might be more delusional than the michigan fanbase. I was surprised at their arrogance. Of all the crap I read this one sticked out the most for some reason. One guy said that both team were pretty equal except for nd’s two big receiver, one replied « did we offer them? »
Still reading for fun. They are proud of the way they handled the 47k people but some say they needed more port a johns...In the stadium. It's such a different world it blows my mind. I have never been to a shittier stadium.
Need to watch the game when I get home, but from everything I read, I couldn't disagree more with those northwestern fans, shockingly.
so ND has wins over the leaders of both the bigten east and west divisions now, should be a thread title in there
Anyone know our recruiting situation? I haven't been paying much attention to it, with how well the season has been and how busy I am. Are we still in on anybody legitimate? The Foskey guy is he any good?
ND is recruiting four players still Foskey at WDE Asa Turner at Hybrid Enoki Vemhai or something like that at OT They are slow playing some white LB from Georgia Prolly take 1-2 more total numbers are very tight
Class is already pretty much full, Nd might have to drop some good players to make it to 85 finally. Kind of amazing. They might have to cut Mack or push him out
Love should go imo, maybe okwara but that would be stupid. Other than that nobody is going pro. Maybe boykin
So I guess Northwestern switched the side they took at their stadium for the first time in a few years last night. They were on the same side as the press box where usually they are opposite. I also noticed they had guys holding up gigantic flags blocking the view of the guys doing signs on the sideline. Were they that paranoid of us stealing signals? If so that is rather flattering. We Astros now.
