We've never been a great team, that's the problem. Lea called a terrible game against Michigan. The fanboys won't admit it. He's a good DC, is he great? Who knows? We won't know as long as he's under Kelly. And lol at suggesting he hold out for the ND job.
I know you just recently became an ND fan after Urban left your alma mater with his heart condition, but for those of us that have been watching ND for a couple of decades or more this is an outstanding defense and, in comparison to our expectations, a god send. That is why we appreciate Clark Lea so much as a coordinator.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I grew up here and have been an ND fan all of my life, as Red Rover can attest. Also if you've been watching for a couple decades you would know that we've had great defenses during that time. As a Trojan, I'm sure you miss having a good head coach.

ohio state (as of today) is up there with the all time great teams, so i'd count that 70 point loss as a quality loss imo. chuck martin has been such a weird case to follow over the years. won't be ND's next head coach, obviously, but it's been "fun" watching his teams go from 0-6 to 6-6 and losing by 70 to potentially winning a conference championship.
#MACtion Miami almost lost at home to an 0-10 Akron team, that would've been peak Chuck. Win the East for the first time but lose to an 0-10 team and by 70 to the Bucks in the same season.
Not really, maybe liking that post that called you a fake fan but I liked it because I agreed with the lea part. It was kind of funny though, I did not take that part seriously.
Sounds like we are playing Cal in 2022. Some Cal recruit let it slip apparently over Twitter. Sounds good to me if true. In other news, other schools are selling playing ND as a major reason to attend.
To be clear, I think Thoros is a real fan. For the sake of his friends and family he better be. No one should be as miserable a person because one is a fan of a team let alone a fake fan. Just wanted to clear up any confusion.

Hopefully Mooney is healthy tonight. Should be a win for bball, but KenPom is randomly high on Toledo despite them having an early loss to Valpo (they are #76 - #1 in the MAC - and we are only #52 after slipping a lot our last two games).
I remember the days when open looks were gimmes for a Brey coached ND team. All of our baskets looked forced for some reason. The offense still isn't flowing like it should.
