Lets not act like those two are above putting out a message if it benefits them. NIL seems to be in a good spot, but maybe get a top 30 player before we trip over our dicks in excitement
I'm more worried about identifying, attracting and developing top 30 players. There are a lot of failed "top 30" players in the portal who didn't hot at big schools, including some "can't miss" types. Load up on top 200 guys with the right fit and upside and coach them up. Instead of pumping out one Joe Alt this year and one BenMo next year, make it two or three. Then you're going to be up there.

He’s getting up there in age for sure. The program is recruiting really well, too, so might be hard to retire, but could understand if he did. They are so deep this year it’s wild. Backups come in at the end of the game and continue to light it up.
He had two visits (Wiscy and Duke) coming up. Instead he committed. St. X kid with NFL bloodlines. I'm in.
it won’t be, I like all of ND’s backups and they will use the portal It’s very very possible DE is better next year than this year DT will be fine as well
Yeah I expect ND to be pretty active in the portal for DL guys this coming year. Seems pretty clear right now.

What I will agree with Driskell on is filling up early with projects that probably could’ve waited. Granted, we’ve pushed some guys out of classes that we’ve recruited over, but this kid seemed like he was going to hold out for bigger offers anyway. I will take NFL bloodlines and a frame, though.
