i think the team is at least getting to the point where it is a discussion. I do think BMo missing eliminates an "elite" unit in the team and only makes the DBs very good

 

we all know this.

 

I think getting younger guys in has sparked the team.

 

All the injuries will be the what if on the season

 

Nah, the what if of the season is definitely “what if we got one damn stop against NIU”

Injuries or not we’d be undefeated #2 or #3 right now and probably be the toast of CFB for most of the season with all kinds of recruiting moment. Instead, we have the most embarrassing loss of the season

 

That said, get another week to get healthy and November is a 4 game playoff, then December / January is another 4 game playoff

We just beat an undefeated ranked opponent convincingly. ND is now 7-1 and has won 6 straight. Our QB continues to improve and hit his stride. We have the most first and second year players starting of any top 12 team. We are firmly in the playoff hunt.

Not a bad place to be.

 

That was an ass whooping. And Navy stinks.

 

Rewatching the highlights and this team is so well coached on defense, their second td was a fluke. What a performance on defense

when the magician comes up to you and tells you that you can erase one thing from your past, the niu game is now gaining traction

 

They had a clear plan. It was nice to see.

 

They have been like that all year, and even when the plan is not working as well as they thought they find a way. Fun defense

edit- even with all the injuries.

you know it is good coaching when the players put in the different spots are not making a huge difference. Good recruiting, good coaching and good game planning
