I appreciate OSU for making it easier for me to dislike its football team. Dominic Raiola sucked and I hated him. Fuck that guy.
Let's be clear. We don't like YOU. We're neutral on the kid. Until he gets there, and then we won't like him.
It appears we will be building our class via the fertile state of Wisconsin. Think we are trending to have 3 guys from there. OL Donovan Harbour committing today, RB from same school Corey Smith we lead for, and OL Garrett Sexton we also lead for. Eat shit Emma
I don’t even think you guys offered Sexton, but he’s between us and OU. Seems weird and a red flag you guys passed, especially for an OL croot
Gophers got a commitment from in-state safety Koi Perich. The recruiting strategy seems to be the same as last year which is to lock up in in-state early.
Michigan's class like it should be set by the end of June at a lot of positions. Most likely commits in the next few months for UM seem to be... Brady Prieskorn, TE I'Marion Stewart, WR Channing Goodwin, WR Jake Gaurnera, iOL Max Anderson, OL Brian Robinson, DL Aaron Chiles, LB Jeremiah Beasley, LB I have no clue what we're doing in the secondary because I think we're about to whiff on the good Ohio kids. Same with DT. Seems like we're in on a ton of WRs and DEs, but not sure who the specific guys will be. Seems like they're really hoping for Marquise Lightfoot and then they'll swing for the fences on guys like Stewart and Rushing.
Penn States will be pretty much set by end of summer as well, always is under franklin. Seems like another 15ish type class like it is most years. QB again an issue, like always.
You guys seem to be bringing in some OL that I liked, which I've always thought was your biggest issue in the years you've lost to UM. Not sure if the issue has ever been talent or if you guys just haven't been able to get that right in a long time.
We’re going to take a lot of DBs and OL in this class. On OL, we’re probably done in Ohio because Satterwhite doesn’t appear inclined to camp. We have four verbals—Moore (IN), the Armstrong twins and Nave. We’re desperate for OTs and may take two if we can for 6 OL total. Brandon Baker has a 6/9 OV. We don’t have any DB verbals yet, but things are decent for the two top-100 Ohio CB’s West and Scott. Probably get Powers too from Ohio. We have June 16 OV’s for Miles Lockhart, Charles Lester, Zabien Brown, and KJ Bolden,
By the end of the year last year we were pretty solid there. I think expectation is we will have best OL Franklin has had this year, but we’ll see. Will hurt losing Strange at TE who was a beast blocking.
We have continued our Wisconsin dominance, OL Garrett Sexton committed this morning. RB Corey Smith committing Friday.
We're supposed to be getting commits today from Brady Prieskorn and Jerod Smith. Prieskorn has felt like a commit since January but its nice he's announcing it. Smith seems to be a bit more random. Assuming that means his twin brother ends up in the class at some point, as well.
Day already fired Alex Grinch when he became coach in 2019. We also played reasonably well on defense in 2023, and continue to recruit well there.
