Looked tight. Was only able to watch a little but watching later this week. Had in-law and niece/nephew Halloween duty and got home late. Catching the Vince Herman Band and Airshow tonight.
Billy presale is today. Just got an email to register for codes. https://events.seated.com/billy-strings-winter-2024
I don’t think the sale is today, or else I never had a code sent after signing up for notification last week. Still not sure which of these I can do. Edit: looks like it is. Damn, my calendar is fucked today. Probably can’t buy them
Not even sure how I'm going to play this. BFF talking about three nights is "excessive" this morning. SMDH. Guess she ain't going.
I'm not worried about getting a ticket to the Bridgestone shows even it's day of on CoT. These presales are usually tickets in the back IMO. Obviously the Ryman lottery is the prize. Probably buying tickets as Christmas gifts for Mom and sister to Bridgestone to sweeten my chances. My hangup is going without taking the kids. Guilt tripping myself. Took the 8yr old last year. But she can't stay awake through the 1st set. If I take her, then the middle boy will feel left out. I ain't taking him, but he listens to Billy with me in the car. #firstworlddadproblems
FWIW, last year at Bridgestone I bought tickets in presale. For Friday night, they were literally on the last row, but on Saturday they were fantastic seats about 8 rows up in the bleachers on stage right. So they're not all in the back.
I'm more curious about the presale ticket prices after fees. I find that when I purchase tickets in a presale, I'm more likely to plan around the concerts and actually go (in contrast to skipping presale/onsale and saying "yeah I'm going" -- I typically flake). Last week for JRAD in Atlanta's presale, 2 tickets for 1 night were about $160 after fees. $90 for the tickets, and $70 worth of fees. JRAD is great, but those fees are way too high so I closed the tab. We'll see if I end up going.
Yes, same code all around. In for Asheville run but that’s it. 1st row facing the stage. Thinking St. Augustine might be in the cards if they do another 3 night run there.
Yes, I’m way more likely to go if I get them at the pre-sale as well. 2 per night for Asheville was: Tickets: $208.50 Fees: $68.50 Total: $277.00
Damn. 2 per night for Bridgestone in Nashville was: Tickets: $278.00 Fees: $98.35 Taxes: $6.07 Total: $382.39
Rounds out to $70 each. Sec 210 USD $99.00 x 2 USD $5.45 (Order Processing Fee) USD $12.10 (Facility Charge) x 2 USD $24.65 (Service Fee) x 2 USD $2.29 (Tax) x 2 USD $281.53
I can’t remember how the Ryman tickets worked last time. Do we have to sign up or will we just get access from having purchased Bridgestone tickets?
Will be hard to top Long Time Coming but this single is good. Need to catch her show sometime. Wish I were at the Grand Ole Opry this Fri. Looks like a nice lineup
IIRC 1. Buying a ticket at Bridgestone allows you to enter a lottery. We will be waiting on that email. 2. Register for lottery. 3. If accepted, then we have to do another buy ticket on AXS for the Ryman show.

Really like this guy and everything he’s put out this year. Great mandolin player. New single on a Bill Monroe tune and one I started working on a little while back. Jarrod crushes this too. He’s mostly instrumental stuff. Jeremy Garrett from Stringdusters plays fiddle with him on a bit of his stuff.
I highly recommend, especially if you don't have a Nugs account. Whole show is fire. November 15, 2023 1:22:30-1:39:45 Pyramid Country > ???? 3:06:00 Doing Things Right https://www.youtube.com/live/YH1LlzK_aAs?si=bon8OYEZ3HD6Fanw
