Steve Martin fucks on the banjo
Bluegrass is country's version of metal imo imv gbr nfm
Also, I am probably gonna post a lot of Americana/Folk in here too.

Not sure which sub genre we’re lookin at here but I dig big time
One of those it has bango in it, therefore it's bluegrass, but Dierks Bentley's You're Dead to Me/Up on the Ridge album is what got me into bluegrass way back when
One of my top all time performances. Had a copy of this soundboard on a CD back in the day and it changed the kind of music I listen to.
I tend to drift more towards the country bluegrass, but the wife is really into Greensky Bluegrass, Mandolin Orange, Trampled by Turtles, and Caamp so I’ve kinda randomly got into that Folk/Americana/Bluegrass shit through her. Good shit.
Greensky are absolutely amazing
More Americana/Folk but I love this band and in particular this album.
If you like the new Sturgill Simpson albums here is the mandolin player from them picking with Chris Thile when she was 10 years old. I like some of her solo stuff but she is incredible in bluegrass lineups and kills it on those albums.
One of the best musical festivals I've ever been to was a little bluegrass festival outside Boone, NC called Music On The Mountaintop. Wish it was still going.
Seen her in Newberry a couple of times. She usually comes to the opera house every year.
BBC Transatlantic Sessions are a good Youtube rabbit hole to fall down. I like any of the newer stuff with Bela Fleck or Jerry Douglas, but there's also a whole library of older stuff.
They pair up British/Gaelic folk musicians with American bluegrass, country, blues, etc
Going to see Mr Strings this fall. Will be the first bluegrass concert I’ve seen that’s not somebody opening for somebody else
Fire line is currently my jam
I’m supposed to see him in Asheville for Halloween. Fingers crossed those shows happen.
Thread needs more Balsam Range
Billy Strings is the hottest shit out there right now. Guy is incredible.
Doing 3 nights of Greensky next weekend as well
The first article of clothing I bought for my soon-to-be first kid was a YMSB onesie from a show of theirs in Lincoln like 7 years ago
