Yes it could be blocked and ran back. A point after attempt could not, in fact, be executed perfectly by either team to go to 6
Rewatching the game this morning and just saw the shovel pass from Nico. Yikes. Watched the game at a bar in Nashville last night and it was thrilling. UT fans are the fucking worst, which says a lot coming from an Ohio State fan.
yea he seemed like the only guy going full speed for them on every play- he’s better than the stats talk about lacking overall team speed- UT reminded me of a Wisconsin, Mich, or ND team from ten years ago - built exactly like those boring ass 10 win squads that would get boat raced in every big game
I saw two fist fights about 90 minutes apart that were Vols on Vols crime in the tailgate lot. Never seen that before and they were completely independent events. A little too much moonshine.
Yeah I was really impressed/frustrated with how he got out of the pocket so much to create positive plays. He was clearly effected by the cold on some of his throws but it would’ve been even uglier of a box score without him keeping them in it.
Yeah they really over blew the amount of Vols fans. They filled the stadium before the start of the game like 45 minutes before and then took all these pictures and shared like they were 50% of the stadium, they were a complete non factor even at the start of the game. All that being said it was by far the most impressive turnout of away fans I’ve ever seen. They expanded out the away section and had like a whole corner of the northeast end zone. Extremely impressive but not nearly what ESPN was selling. the pregame was all Vols fans in the tailgate lots. Buckeye fans didn’t show till like 630-7 never seen anything like it.
maybe if this guy had shared some of his bathtub amphetamine with the team they would have played better smdh
revisionism. y'all had to take a timeout to communicate and had a false start in the first quarter. it was a blowout but they were loud as shit even on TV.
Looking at the rest of OSU’s stuff from Bill C, they had only 2 worse adjusted margins against P4 opponents all season, Iowa (39.7) and Purdue (35.1). lol
The timeout was needed because the play clock was about to expire. Crowd noise had nothing to do with it.
Production must’ve done a good job of pumping in sound because they were as loud when Vols were on defense as buckeyes were on defense the first couple of drives.
I don’t know if “we called timeout because we couldn’t get the playcall in in time” is the excuse I would go with when neutrals are saying the Vols fans were loud.
They got anything on the crowd noise in the stands vs on TV so we can add to the important questions being answered on this websight
Bad spot for Tennessee to not even show up. Outmatched at pretty much every spot on the field and the talent gap was noticeable from the start. Not really much else to add about the game itself. Had great seats and overall a pretty good time with some friends. Stadium logistics and bathroom situation, at least in my section, was all time bad. Met some nice folks but seems a very large contingent were assholes (pre and postgame) with an inferiority complex. Very thin skinned and if you tried to engage their shit talking, you'd get a "fuck you pussy, come over here and do something about it" type reply. High Street was a basically a gauntlet of verbal assault postgame. They were bad winners. It's evident they want to A) beat Michigan; B) be in the SEC. Unfortunately, they can do neither.
Seemed like tons of Tennessee fans were welcomed in and had a good experience with OSU fans but have heard many stories about drunk asshole Tennessee fans who seemed to have a bad time when people give them anything back. Really makes you wonder which type you were
For my first hand experience, I saw plenty of Tennessee fans walking to the stadium, in the stadium, and walking up Lane Ave heading to my car. The only sort of altercations I saw or experienced were the group of 4 UT fans trying to start shit with me as I walked in solo and post game one Tennessee fan standing next to a food cart that if any OSU fans said anything to them he called them gay slurs and wanted to fight them
I did not attend the game, but I can post with absolute certainty that no opposing fans have ever been mistreated in Columbus, ever.
