I know this is hard for you, but proof? And congrats to those that realized profits. Contrary to what some in this thread believe, it's only a profit if you sell.
I have enough, more than was listed in that post, and no interest in telling anyone how much, let alone showing whatever you consider to be proof.
Because it’s the greatest store of value on the planet and institutional money is realizing it. More demand than supply is the simpler explanation.

I’m sure this must’ve been covered somewhere in these 200 pages but why is a wallet necessary and what is the best option for one for not having the ability to permanently lose your Bitcoin?
A wallet gives custody with your own keys so only you can access. A hardware wallet is best, because it’s hosted offline, not on the internet. Buy a trezor or ledger. I have both, personally hate the ledger and love the trezor but that’s just me.
Because someone could have a key logger on your computer when you access the Coinbase one. For hardware you enter your keys on the device so they won’t be stolen.
can you move it from wallet to wallet if I already have some in Coinbase? How do you sell it if it’s in your Wallet? Obviously not a lot of places to spend it. What if you lose the physical one or it loses batteries or lose your password?
Yeah you just send to the address of the other wallet. You can sell from hardware wallets, but their partners have insanely expensive fees of like 3% so I wouldn’t recommend it. You would just transfer it back to your Coinbase wallet and sell from there
The Trezor (the only one I am familiar with) gives you a 20 word pass key in case you lose it or something goes wrong with the wallet. It’s very easy to use.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ep3y7-2XcAUG05f?format=png&name=small Why did investment bankers and venture capitalists take over the Bitcoin project a few years back? Why are you now seeing such a media blitz about Bitcoin and crypto? Why have the past few years seen a relentless shilling and marketing campaign on social media? Read above. ^^ When they dump the bags, they will have their excuses ready to roll in the same media channels.
