Honestly I kind of respect having three shades of green where one says you’re Gucci, one says you’ll be good tomorrow and one says go fuck yourself and it’s hard to tell which is which
Wear a random under armor polo so you like like an average dude Shit we forgot to tell him to take off the white gold daytona and change the thermostat
Ok so I got someone on the phone at centerpoint and basically we are fucked There are 27 people without power on our “ticket” that has been assigned to a truck However we are considered stage 5 because it is less than 100 people out at our ticket They’re currently working on stage 4s right now and won’t get to us until the stage 4s are done I asked for some sort of timeline and she was like I can’t give you one but once it shows on the website that we are working on stage 5s call back and ask where your ticket is awesome
as someone that has experienced lengthy power outages due to hurricanes. This is pretty comical and if this were to happen in Florida, Ron would have been strung up for being this incompetent
He pulled a Theodore and went and fucked ladyboys on the taxpayers dime while people were dying of heat stroke?
this is hilarious in retrospect at this point i'm hoping to be back in my house by the start of football season
called centerpoint and their now estimate is by the end of the day today. not going to tell my wife because i *really* dont want to deal with the fallout from her if that doesnt happen
I think the regulators/PUC deserve a lot of the negative attention that is currently being directed at CNP… most of the things people are complaining about are items utilities like CNP ask regulators for approval on frequently and are almost always rejected.
The oversimplified truth is that for better or worse, we have a regulated monopoly system in place. Since the utility has a monopoly, they will spend as much as the regulators will approve. Regulators in the industry are painfully resistant to change, and stuck in the past. Most of them started their careers when the industry was poles and wires and climate change was a hoax, most still operate under that way of thinking. decades of doing the bare minimum to keep costs for consumers low, essentially just pushed the risk onto the next generation and has gotten us to today. complaining about cnp won’t do much, cause it’s not like you can switch utilities and the PUC is appointed by the governor….
i think we all know that absolutely nothing will change and the next time houston is hit by a hurricane we will be in this exact situation and probably worse
Fair, I’ll just say the CNP folks are probably not the bad guys being painted here. There are bad guys but they are very good at staying out of the spotlight.
You and I are literal neighbors. I’m off westheimer and Waugh and got power back on Thursday. Move a few blocks over imo.
their website says 98% by Wednesday and 100% by friday if we are not back by saturday i'm probably going to be getting arrested for something
