Hey, good thing he has the 6 day excuse
Every fighter in the sport will be trying to sign up with Wittman.
Whatever Trevor Wittman gets paid, they need to triple it. Then double it.
I don’t watch a lot of UFC but the entire night was entertaining AF
Lol fuck off Masvidal
Wow, that was worth the rematch
Can't believe people didn't want to see someone get finished
I love it when dudes act so hard when they get tagged, then get their ass knocked out.
you know those earlier punches hurt, yet Jorge tried to act like they were nothing.
Other than watching dude leg fall off it was a great night.
he came back and fought a pretty solid (won) round after so i guess he was right
He showboated a smile < 15-20 seconds before his lights got shut off.
Are you saying Masvidal won round 1?
thought you were taking about the 1st
my kodi stream froze up for a second so i must’ve missed it
Props to Usman. He stood with him and slept him. Mad at myself for not going now. Totally expected that to go differently. Same winner, just different fight.
I really hope that Usman gets his hands on that BMF belt. I'd have ran out and taken it from the guy that followed Masvidal with it
We totally would've blamed you for the freak injuries
significant leg strikes
hard elbows off the back
did more off his back than usman did with position
it’s not out of the question to say he did
that was a nasty ko sheesh. all that shit he talked..what is his plan now? he knows he can’t beat usman
To each his own, but I don't think someone who gets taken down and doesn't have control for a quarter(?) of the round has a fair argument at winning that round.
Jake Paul had a prop for +1000
Fight another Diaz, train Jake Paul, whatever...
Jorge looked to have a good knee, and didn’t get beat once he got taken down. That’s about it.
Colby trying to talk shit now my god UFC fucking send this dude to bellator.
besides taking him down, what did usman do with position
you’re saying that nothing masvidal did between being taken down and getting back up matters
Maybe monitoring who is the best at cutting weight could be a good betting strategy
Usman looked 20lbs bigger than Masvidal
I'm saying that while Masvidal got shots in, I think that Usman controlled the round and had plenty of shots along the way.
Colby is so bad at trash talking. He struggles to find the words to say.
Reminds me of a trailer park Tebow
Colby wore a MAGA hat last time they fought? I hope Usman knocks him out in 10 seconds.
and masvidal had good shots too along with his work off his back
fuck you for making me argue this now i feel like dbl arguing shit that doesn’t matter because he got k the fuck o’d
He weighed in a half pound lighter.
Not sure if you are serious but there is a horde of people who j off to the weigh ins. A lot of the mma sites report on them and over blow them. Long story short is most of the time the weigh in is a place where it’s easy to draw too many conclusions.
Usman is clear head and shoulders above everyone
I am a casual viewer and just noticed what the guys looked like
It’s a terrible Chael imitation, but with Chael it was natural and he had quick wit. Colby rehearses his shit.
Combined fight time for the five main card fights: 20:56
this night is about rose anyway
if i ever bump into her in these denver streets i will be truly starstruck for the first time ever
Her crying when they put the belt on her and announced her as champion was really cool
And I was predicting at least 2 of the title fights to go into the championship rounds or all 5. Obviously 2 freakish finishes but still a card UFC dreams of every fight night.
fwiw i am curious about the weigh-in stuff. obviously these guys cut weight, but usman looked like a weight class above and masvidal had that starved fighter body
Usman generally walks around at about 185-190 lbs during camp, but after rehydrating after weigh-ins, fighters generally never get up to their normal walk around weight. That’s really not a big cut.
i don't really follow mma, i just watch the big fights
i immediately regretted all of my masvidal bets when i saw them next to each other
Judging by weight cuts is one of the most inexact parts of the sport. Some dudes struggle, but somehow Daniel Cormier could make 205 comfortably.
But the main thing is dudes who have been wrestling their whole life like Usman, Cormier, etc. They’ve been cutting weight since before fighting MMA.
turns out usman is a trumper, too. so i take back most of the delight i had when he knocked out both colby and jorge
To be fair DC could probably have made 185 if he really wanted to. He wrestled in college at 184.
Usman called this after he finished Burns
fwiw: Uriah Hall's interview was imo the classiest thing I've ever seen in any sport ever
