Dober has had to fight some killers for a guy who’s never really been a regular in the rankings. The fact that his chin isn’t complete mush by now is wild
Rushing to make O'Malley a gatekeeper in hopes of people buying the PPV I guess. Get an immediate rematch w/o having to win again and Merab had a dog of a fight with Umar since.
That was the smart fight for sure. O’Malley doesn’t deserve a rematch with Merab at this point. We are just going to see more of what we saw at the sphere. Merab has proven he can hang in there with elite strikers, and Sean has proven his inability to stop the take down. It’s just a nightmare match up for O’Malley.
Yep. They try to present him as some Conor/Lesnar/Ronda type attraction but he's more like a Gaethje, Chandler, etc. type. Will sell a handful more PPVs than some of the other shit they're putting out, but by no means something the most casual fan will buy.
That was one of the most lopsided title fights I think I've seen, and merab is boring as hell for a casual like me. Will pirate though
Definitely a head scratcher. I don’t think I have ever seen him throw a strike that wasn’t a looping overhand.
Apparently he’s broke. He did a podcast recently where he said he has no choice but to fight. So sad.
That's a bad one. Obviously the dudes know what they are signing up for in bareknuckle fighting but jesus
It was just a cruel combo of boring fighters who actually have a career and also a bunch of misfit toys getting finishes that propels them to like 3 fights away from getting a fight for a ranking. like MARK MY WORDS if Ode Osborne gets 3 more knockouts in a row he will be hunting for that 15 next to his name!
outside of Diaz choking Connor and Holloway starching Gathje with 00:02 left, might be the loudest I’ve yelled bc I didn’t think it could happen
Does Izzy have another run in him? It seems like once fighters realized that you have to fight him in close (feels like this has been screamed in this thread for years) and can’t let him stand at range, that he lost his confidence. He’s such a creative striker, that I think he is still very dangerous.
I guess they don't plan on easing him in. Jesus. Is there a tougher match-up in the division? EDIT: Appears fake. Good.
A card that I'm actually pretty excited for this Saturday! (checks location of UFC 314...well hope I can time my piss breaks in between fights perfectly!)
Paddy being a favorite like -160 is weird to me as a casual. The extreme weight cuts before every fight are going take a toll on his body at some point. He's 30
He has some slick grappling. You can’t sleep on him. He finds creative ways to get to your back but he gets cracked a good bit. This is his first real test against a contender. I would take Chandlers experience but I can see why the lines like him.
