http://skift.com/2013/01/28/delta-g...or-on-time-performance-by-major-u-s-airlines/ delta was pretty shitty a few years ago but they are now the best major carrier re: on-time performance they have done some very impressive things as a company over the last 2-3 years
I think it's natural that when you have a larger workload than another airline, you will likely have more mess ups.
Craps and 3 card poker. 10-25 minimum usually and will increase my bets depending how much Im up and how drunk I am. 750-1000 a day. In Biloxi the Beau Rivage, just as nice as any Vegas Casino. in Vegas Ceasars, Aria, PH in that order
mostly craps, with roulette and blackjack mixed in. usually $5-10 tables. first trip I only took $400, second time and third time $700. this is for 3 day trips each time. I'm not a huge gambler money-wise, but I love doing it. I'm just too cheap to go to the higher limit tables.
Poker mostly but when I'm looking to gamble blackjack mostly, with some 3 card, ultimate texas holdem and roulette mixed in
Poker I play 2/5. Craps I normally look for $10-20 table. Bet the pass line, back it with double my original bet. If it's a hot roll I'll end up with a shit load of money on the table because I'll bet numbers and press them every time after they hit once. I go up fast and down fast but that's just more exciting for me. I play blackjack, and lose... almost every time
Usually 1/2 or 1/3, but occasionally 2/5 at Bellagio since it's $500 max and incredibly juicy. Poker in Vegas is kinda boring unless you are going there strictly for a poker trip. I don't want to be grinding at the table while my friends are out having fun.
I also got kicked out of the Harrah's poker room our first night of the trip last September, that was pretty entertaining.
Welp my buddy just bailed on our trip. Who minds if I meet up with them in Vegas. GoodForAnother Embree/Yung
Someone investigate and report on these tunnel people when you're there. http://www.omg-facts.com/lists/327/9-Hard-To-Believe-Facts-About-Las-Vegas/2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE7i-7sd3yg&feature=youtu.be
I'm mostly craps or slots. Craps, $5 tables anywhere from $5-$15 pass plus odds and $20-40 on mumbers, hard ways, cum, etc. A little $5-10 BJ and roulette mixed in when I find it. I also spend a lot of time on 2-credit quarter reel slots and the cool theme video slots. Poker, VP, and the like don't intrigue me. If I had the bankroll I'd play big table baccarat, but one hand would bust my whole week.
Any of you guys $20 trick when you check in? I've had a few good upgrades with it. Spoiler I'm really excited and vegas deprived at the same time
back to the new UNLV stadium talk a few pages ago, why would Goodell not allow a Super Bowl there? With the game this weekend just randomly thought about that how it's the biggest gambling event regardless so what does it matter if the game is played a few miles from the Strip?
He won't allow it in any state that allows sports gambling. NJ wants to make it legal, but it would put next year's SB in jeopardy. They'll likely pass the bill shortly after the game. Why is that Goodell's stance? Good question.
Trying to plan the dual bachelor party that GoodForAnother, @Aggievillian, and I will be attending. I think we'll have like 15/20 people when all is said and done. Some coming from Houston, some from KC. Anyone gone with a group this big? Any advice? Don't know if I should be looking for suites/condo/or a bunch of two queen bed rooms. How easy was it to do things together? I know I will be wanting to gamble until dawn and I don't think everyone will be on the same page.
no idea on hotel rooms. as far as doing things together, I imagine we'll probably do some stuff together (dinners, strip club, etc) but I bet the group splinters into different smaller groups who want to do different things.
yeah it'll be interesting. we normally take 6-8 on our regular vegas trips but for these bachelor parties we'll have a huge group. we had an 8 bedroom house in college and a lot of different people lived there at one time or another, so when we get everyone together we always have 15-25 people.
NJ has already legalized sports betting. Christie signed the bill some time last year. They are waiting to see if the Federal gov't bitch slaps them or not. I think proceedings for the law suit the NFL filed against NJ begin this month.
It could be just me, but I don't like "pack travel". It feels like you're stuck sometimes, and when we go as groups we usually go off in pairs or singles anyway.
Going April 4th-7th for a bachelor party....prolly stay at PH or Flamingo b/c we're all either in grad school or just started working and fuck spending money for a room I won't spend any time in. This'll be my 3rd trip out there. Bummed that O'Sheas is closed....$10 BJ and jamo on the rocks was a great way to spend the day. I'm a huge pussy/know the house has the edge when it comes to casino games. Will sit with $2-300 and play $10 BJ in hopes of finishing up or down $100 and drinking at least half that. Never learned how to play craps, and I save my real gambling for sports anyway which makes my BJ betting look like kiddie games
Learn craps. It's actually really easy. <60 minutes to grasp the majority of it. By far the most exciting game. A hot craps table is the most fun you can have gambling IMO.
I'm assuming you mean airport to strip? You might as well because if you don't pay attention the cab drivers take the long way to the strip... every.... single... time.
if you have more than 5 people it's usually a better deal to do a limo vs 2 cabs, depends on where you're going though
I do a town car if it's just myself and did a limo last year for my exs bday. I like it much better than a cab
Just 2 of us. Going to Mirage. It's my girlfriend's first trip to Vegas so I figured doing the whole driver with a sign/champagne and rose bit would be cool.
its like 90 with tip just hope you dont get a retard driver and he leaves the car off in the june heat and doesnt have the champagne on ice
also dont waste the money on the hoover dam. its a waste of time and money. I tried to take mine cause that was something she had on her list of things to do. So I rent a car, we drive there and the god damn dam is closed because of a jumper. said guy jumps they clean him up. while were stuck sitting on the interstate and finally reopens and she's ready to go back to the strip /rant
That would be the only reason I would get a car. For the price of a round trip limo I could get a car for the 5 days and be able to go out there. The only thing is that we will probably still need cabs at some point because of heavy drinking away from the hotel.
Unless you are drinking off the strip somewhere you can walk anywhere. May be a long and inconvenient walk, but fuck it grab a couple beers and enjoy it.
http://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=LV&from=McCarran International Airport (LAS)&to=Mirage limos are actually cheaper ($50-60) if you just walk outside and get one at the airport than it is if you book in advance but those won't have the roses or champagne or anything. there are sites out there to book a limo with the sign and champagne and the whole nine yards like that, but it'd probably run you like $100 or so after tip and everything. you usually get the limo for an hour though so it's nice to do that because then you have time to make a liquor store run, maybe pick up lunch or have them drive you by the vegas sign and all that.
