All my friends and family in OK are reporting the worst flooding they have seen. Like hours into or after the event not days after once stuff has a chance to run off and do major damage to clogged rivers and streams.

Glad the tornado activity has not been as bad as it could have been.

I've found myself getting too deep into weather Twitter and it's all so... shallow and holier than thou. Idk it's just a very weird thing. Especially when you get into the chasers... They're a sensitive bunch

 

I can see how the chasers would make you want to quit - a lot of them come across as self-serving douche bags

 

Nah, the sequence in which you worded it made me 75% sure you meant the latter but was not positive.

I think it maybe has something to do with just the nature of weather. You can be 100% right about things through 95% of an event but that 5% of the event that things didn’t materialize like modeled can make the whole event almost null. When you have that type of parameters to work within and everyone in the know realizes it, it seems like it would be easy to get wrapped up in the “well, I am basically right” position all the time.

I also have had too many double IPAs and am talking out my ass. I also do not Twitter and have 1/1,000,000 of the meteorological knowledge as you so just tell me to stfu.

In the radar clip you posted it looks like the tornado dissipated or weakened just before hitting the town. Fingers crossed.

 

Man, it wasn’t too long ago that Atoka got plowed by a tornado either, maybe 8 years.
