Man north central NE is absolutely primed. If you get a storm it’ll have that entire environment to itself as will have every ingredient needed for a monster. That’s if a storm fires, though.
Not much popping. Little guy North of North Platte. Still windy as fuck and pretty miserable outside. That high of 67 Wednesday will be sweet.
While Reed does seem like a rather even keeled and not overly excitable person normally, methinks he's possibly overinflating this one because he's enthused he personally intercepted it.
When Nebraska had it bad in 2019, there was a house right down from the dam. They've never found the body of man that lived there.
There’s a violent tornado in the Sandhills that went unwarned and hit Whitman. Tornado still on the ground. Whiteman is small and unincorporated but it definitely hit something. This was earlier in its life.
Also just had a 90 mph gust at Eppley and it went unwarned. Not sure what NWS Omaha and North Platte were doing with these storms.
Don't know if it is related or not, but I know that there have been a lot of data outage issues from NCEP over the past couple of days. My guess is it would be somehow connected to that, but that is just a guess on my end.
Since this is the runaway barge thread this seems like the place for bridge issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/Arkansas/s/lqW8sKyYqE WPS
He's always hype first. We just had that MEGA MAGA WEDGE DEATH TORNADO potential here a couple weeks ago.
Would guess we’ll pick up half an inch of rain by the time it’s done, not bad for a 2-3 hour window. It’s like 60 degrees here, would be nice to open my windows once the rain is done but I’m sure it’s going to be humid as crap soon. Holding out hope that maybe the clouds linger around and reduce the severe threat but doubt it.
