adidas website SAVE25 is the promo code on select items
Irons first for sure. I’d like to stay under 500 for them.
You can check out the club manufactures’ website for pre-owned clubs if you’re into that. I’m confident the clubs I got had never been used and came with a steep discount.
Do you keep a handicap? Level of ball striking? Current irons?
Nope (probably something like an 18), no idea, and some Orlimar or some shit my parents bought me YEARS ago.
Have these as well. Premium club for budget price. Well worth it.
I want new irons too. May go to a used shop. Don’t play enough to warrant anything nice.
Short and slice off the tee which ruins most holes. Strike irons well. Incredible yips from 5 feet and in, which leads to too many 3 putts.
I’d look at a pre-owned set of black dot Ping G400s.
Create an account and start perusing. I haven’t bought new in years.
As for make/model, go through Golf Digest’s hot list for game improvement irons (or super game improvement if you’re not very good). You can google previous years to line up buying used.
Looking like a combo of this may work. I never really considered used but it make a ton of sense.
I almost solely buy pre-owned golf equipment. People buy shit new, are bad at golf, decide its the equipment and sell it for cheap.
Big fan of the los calientes
I just bought new irons for the first time and got fitted. Now I’m like a “improving 15 Handicap” but I was amazed at the difference shafts made. Do you throw different shafts in when you do this or it just doesn’t matter to you?
I've gotten a couple used sets off of eBay and gotten great deals. The last set of Taylormades I got I used for a year then traded them in to Taylormade for more than I paid.
I can’t answer for him, but I go and get fitted, pay the hour fee then go find the set combination on either eBay or GolfWRX. Sometimes it will take a couple of weeks for them to pop up but I’ve been successful so far.
Friend of mine does similar but certain times he has had to buy the heads and the shafts separately and have them installed.
And just ordered the same
Being 6-4 and standing way too upright makes it harder
This does bring up a question. Has anyone messed with irons that are all the same length? I like the idea in theory.
Fitting if you aren’t a consistent ball striker is a bit of a scam (just my opinion, some disagree) but if you are then it’s absolutely worth it.
when I get a new driver I just change out the shaft I have now. Irons will buy heads and shafts separated.
Yes. I acutely highly recommend cobra stuff. For whatever reason you seem to be able to buy it cheaper second hand. I had the F7 one length irons and regret getting rid of them.
We sold Cobra at the CC I worked at in college, I always liked their stuff. I think I’m hunting for something Cobra, the Pings recommended, or Taylor made.
I'd just buy whatever you find the best deal on. Have had all 3 recently. All good.
The Smiths I bought a few weeks ago didn’t fit quite right so they were returned. Bought some Costas today.
Costa sunglasses are 20% off this weekend on the website in case anyone is in the market.
why not just hurt me further and buy some bitcoin with the money saved
I’ve worn Smith sunglasses for 20 years. My model was discontinued and nothing they make fit right. It was like a divorce to buy another brand.
I miss my Costas. I break/lose sunglasses like it’s my job and part of that job means I don’t allow myself nice ones anymore.
a new couch. finally. current couch is a billion years old. can't wait to get this comfy badboy delivered
how do I get rid of my old couch?
Move to West Virginia.
We have a bulk pick up day for trash or just need to call them. They might charge a few bucks but it’s gone.
Won't work here. I live in apartment, 3rd floor. No bulk pickup.
I'm searching around, may have to pay some junk removal place to come get it.
A lot of places will pick it up and take it as a donation
I did that and they even brought movers to take it out for me. I figured I’d have to help or something but they were in and out in 2 minutes and gave me a receipt for taxes.
There's a women's shelter here that even takes mattresses. I've found that to be the hardest to offload
That’s really nice. I’ve accepted the idea of buying mattresses from people who will haul off the old one, but this seems like a good alternative.
If it's in decent enough shape you can probably get Goodwill or the Salvation Army to come take it.
I had to junk a couch a few years back. Cost $120 for them to come take it out of my apartment.
You’ll be back
Thanks. I'm guessing it's not in good enough shape for Goodwill-type places to want it. But I will talk with them tomorrow.
And I'm not posting on Facebook marketplace/OfferUp, that shit is so unreliable. Wouldn't be good with having a deadline.
So I'll get a couple quotes from junk removal places. Hoping for $120 or less.
There is one offerup trick that I've found to be 100% successful: free. I swear there are people who make their living off of picking up free stuff
I also live in an pretty well of neighborhood, but goddamn you post *curb alert* free on Facebook group and doesn’t matter what it is. It’s gone.
I did it with some big furniture I didn’t wanna move.
What is the TMB recommended ear wax cleaning system?
And also, can someone recommend the go to hemorrhoid cream?!
Did you try blowing your neighbor?
