like i said. more thinly veiled conservative grievance drive by posting. even internet browser discussion gets you acting like a weirdo
y'all don't use a dns service to block ads and trackers across your whole home network regardless of device or browser? sheesh
Not whole home but I have AdGuard DNS ad blocking for all my devices. I'm not really sure how to set it up for the whole network.
I was actually just kidding and only learned stuff like AdGuard and NextDNS were a thing recently after getting annoyed at YouTube ads when using it on my TV — 3 year demands random stuff like wanting to hear giraffe noises, and I have to sit through 30secs of ads for a 2min video. Does it work well? Way cheaper than YT Premium and it’d be nice to block everything across all devices/apps whatever
The government has been blocking most of Google’s ad-based announcements on the grounds of anti-trust lately, so I wouldn’t take any of their timelines as gospel. 3rd party cookie deprecation was supposed to happen twice already and they still haven’t done it.
Perhaps we browse different web sites? I dunno. I know I have used an adblock extension in the past, but it probably caused me some problems and I recall reinstalling chrome and keeping it as clean as possible. With all that said, I'm going to give Firefox a try. Haven't used Firefox in probably 15 years. It was the best back in the day after moving on from Netscape Navigator. I use Chrome a lot browsing from computer, many bookmarks: I just checked and actually do have two extensions installed:
I agree that they're unbearable, but that's more than the Hulu Disney ESPN+ bundle, which is fucking ridiculous
you should actually have already stopped using Chrome before now and if you haven’t you should stop immediately because it’s utter trash and the cause of the majority of problems on this and many other websites (particularly mobile)
agreed. but my yt usage is about 7hr/day and i dont think i could hit that in a week with the bundle.
I'm using duck duck go to plot the next January 6th with the original masterminds of the first January 6: the Super Proud Boiz. No one's expecting it to be on January 5 this coming year so we'll catch them by surprise all for Q!
