Dealership while it's under warranty and then I go to other random places because dealerships kind of rip you off on service
I always did dealership. Funny story - whatever the first major service is I took my truck in to Studio City Nissan and drop it off and just go home and don't think about it. I check in on it the next morning and it had gotten confused with another vehicle and was now in further north California to get a sunroof installed. "Ok, so I have a sunroof now or what?" Please come to the dealership we are handling this right now and will get you set up in a rental. The GM felt so bad about the situation they gave me free gas and service for I believe around 4 years. If I would have just left things alone I would have been the proud new owner of a sunroof.
Meh, non factory installed sunroofs always leak Hell. Half the factory installed ones to do My favorite was my wife's Infiniti It didn't actually leak, but there was a hose that was part of the drain system for the sunroof that came loose somehow behind a panel on the passenger side up under the dash. The way we figured it out was by hearing sizzling from what ever electronics it would dump water onto while riding through a car wash Googled it and it was a pretty well known issue. Fucking Nissan never did anything about it
Do people normally use their sunroof? I have 2 vehicles with them and I've used them maybe twice. I don't get why they're standard on so many trim models
My parents got a new Mercedes SUV and I think they've had to replace the windshield approximately 3 times within maybe a year. Apparently the windshields don't do well with humidity and they live basically in a swamp.
Had a Volvo that had some sort of drainage hose leak from the sunroof. Water bubbled of from the floor on rear passenger side. Huge pain in the ass.
I always rent a convertible if ones available and the weathers nice but I don’t think I would own one unless it was a second car or something.
Traveled to the in-laws for FIL’s 70th bday. When we got here at about 11:30, the in-laws were watching the movie Hachi. I was familiar with the statute in Shibyua and its general backstory, but I had never seen or heard of the Americanized telling. I don’t think I’ve teared up like that to a movie in 30+ years. We don’t deserve dogs Spoiler This may belong in the FIL thread
We had the exact same issue on my wife’s Infiniti, except it dumped water onto the passenger side floorboard. It took about a year for me to figure out what the hell was going on.
I use it all of the time. I get off the freeway and open it up for the last 15 mins of my drive close to the beach.
Had friends over last Friday and the dude smokes like a fucking chimney. I always want to ask him what he spends on smokes. Has to be like 10 grand a year.
haven't smoked in years but I distinctly remember moving to Oregon from Nebraska back in '99, bough a carton of Marlboro Reds for 20 bucks and filled up my tank for $1.25 a gallon fast forward to 2024 and 20 bucks will buy you 2 packs of smokes and $1.25 will get you a little over a quarter of a gallon of gas
ain't gonna front, it's not often but there are times I miss smoking...like after a really good big meal or during a long road trip
I like a faint waft of a cig. Doesn’t happen much here, probably can go a month without smelling one. Go anywhere in Europe and you can pretty much smoke a pack a day for free, everyone smokes.
Yeah, Id say at the rate he burns has to be at least a pack, probably 2. I’d say 5 grand is a better estimate.
What's always surprised me is every country except the US has awful images on their cigarette packs to discourage new smokers -- people talking thru a hole in their throat, pictures of lungs, missing half their face. Not here though because we're free, baby. I seem to remember there was a push to put those images on US packs for like a month or so, but they got pulled with the quickest.
Never have gotten gas there, do you accumulate points and get a bigger discount if you save up or is it just generally cheaper than other gas stations if you're a member?
