FSU vs Michigan, OSU, PSU, USC, UCLA and Nebraska It will be like the 90s never ended. Make it happen
also just added BYU, who other major conference teams are refusing to play because of their outright racism
I may be the first to ever notice this, but it looks like maybe the channels with the most potential viewers have the most actual viewers. Going to take a deeper dive in the lab to try and confirm
Stu and the rest of B1G propagandist media will use these ratings on games that were designed for big ratings to show that these games and teams get big ratings next summer during silly season.
It’s wild opening one thread on here and reading about Fox as the republican propaganda machine then another where Fox is partnered with the B1G, who is known for the type of academic intellectualism these reactionaries want to destroy. Makes for some strange bedfellows. Hopefully it pisses off some of their viewers somewhere
See their recent volleyball deal, and also the fact that the Mormon church didn’t let black people in until like the mid 70s
original incident: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/06/sports/byu-racial-slur-duke.html follow-up statement from victim: first cancellation: https://www.espn.com/womens-college...es-byu-did-not-want-players-line-verbal-abuse i think we can conclusively say that anyone who plays BYU in October or later is a scumbag.
In a world where everything is recorded, it was always very odd that there was no evidence of the event. You would think if someone next to you started screaming bad words, you or the people around you would pull out a phone and record. https://byucougars.com/story/athlet...garding-investigation-aug-26-volleyball-match
People from the flagship university of the first state to secede crying racism is pretty good. Cancel culture is out of control.
we can handle one problematic school, it’s conferences like the big 10 that have conference-wide sexual assault quotas to fill that should be investigated!
I lived in SLC for 15 months, and the Mormons I knew were friendly. Most of my co-workers were Tongans.
They are not exactly known for their inclusiveness. It’s an image the Mormon church has had issues shedding for stories exactly like this. I lived in Phoenix for 5 years, and everyone assumed I was Mormon because I’m a clean cut white guy. I was frequently asked if I was and when I told them I was not LDS, you could see the attitude shift almost immediately if they were.
Fox sports got bought by Disney when Disney bought a bunch of Fox stuff (not fox news) and part of that purchase they agreed to resell fox sports which they did to Sinclair. Not sure if normal fox bought some back but it’s been a very confusing corporate shuffle.
Most of the regional FS that were sold were rebranded to Bally Sports. I believe some of the stations Sinclair bought were then sold off to other companies.
Pretty sure ESPN buying the regional Fox sports channels got blocked and that’s how they ended up as Bally under Sinclair
We’d rather stick with our inferior television contract so we can make the excuse we don’t have enough money to buyout Tommy Rees - and potentially others, in short order.
Pretty much. I live within walking distance of the Reds stadium and haven’t been able to watch a game on TV since they took it over because I have YouTube TV and im pretty sure there are other streaming services/cable providers that don’t have Bally. I don’t really care about about Cavs or Blue Jackets but they also air their games. That’s a lot of content and is just Ohio. Pretty sure the Indians do too but I’m not in that market.
Is this the meeting where the Cal regents will decide whether or not to join the B1G (lack of invitation notwithstanding)?
You realize discrimination was part of the religion till 1978 right? Black people could not be part of the priesthood until then
