A MWC/PAC relegation/promotion arrangement would have been very cool if it included every school except the four teams going to the B1G. The rest of the PAC schools’ leadership freaked out and thought they had to leave too.
Air Force Boise State Fresno State Colorado State Nevada UNLV New Mexico San Diego State San Jose State Utah State Wyoming ^ if you like me were wondering who all's in the Mountain West
those two schools care about nothing except for how esteemed they feel their conference mates are. if they wouldn’t debase themselves to share a conference with a bunch of tier 1 state universities in the Midwest, they sure as shit were never going to consider a conference with Boise State and Fresno State
were cal and Stanford even invited to the big 12? They definitely weren’t invited to the b1g. They don’t really add anything which is why the acc was the only group dumb enough to take them
Nope. It was always the 4 corner schools. Next expansion Yormark is trying is Gonzaga for basketball but he has 0 support for it
Yes, the PAC could have had 6 Big12 schools in 2010-12 or whenever it was and Cal/Stanford blew it up. If they don’t do that, the Big12 is a distant memory and the Pac12 would’ve survived
Nothing says connecting with a younger audience like bringing in a hip-hop star who was popular 20 years ago.
If someone is bored and wants to go count, I'd put o/u at 10.5 prior times swaim has tweeted something similar in last 6 months
Fake (and old) news. B1G membership has been a boon for all of our sports programs outside of football and women’s volleyball, and both have moved from laughingstock to respectable-ish.
B1G made a lot of cash in cable subscriber fees too. Now that cable is being replaced by streaming, it’s not as much, but back when we joined it created a sizable windfall for the conference.
