Finished a full rewatch. The ending was only about 75% as disappointing after generally knowing how it ended
First 4 seasons remain perfect. 5 shows cracks in the armor. 6 is flawed but has some great moments. 7 and 8 is like watching a train wreck in slow motion and then in fast forward
I take it back. A day later, I have that same feeling I did when it first aired - like I just got dumped. What a bunch of fucking idiots.
Just got to season 3 of my rewatch last night. On episode 3 right now....this show was so fucking elite in its' prime....
Watching season 1. Damn every episode is fantastic. Also forgot how fucking dumb Dany was. Sure, let's let this witch who just got sexually assaulted by my tribe have unfettered access to my husband's wounds. THATS A GREAT IDEA
On season 7/8. It's incredible how bad this show is. I'm currently watching the Long Night and the episode is practically unwatchable. Just so fucking slow and because it's so dark, you can't see a fucking thing. I'm barely halfway through and have had to take multiple breaks. I need to go back and find my original thoughts on that episode, because this is so bad.
I think the long night is a good episode The darkness isn't nearly as bad as the original showing as they definitely brightened it up. Pretty much all of the last two seasons was complete shit except a couple episodes (long night, spoils of war, and a knight of the seven kingdoms). But the hate for long night has always has been way overboard imo.
