All the ones already mentioned but I also ride for Pencil Thin Mustache when I want a fun little tune.
Kick It In Second Wind a very underrated song by him. Fun song. Always really enjoyed Boat Drinks as well
I’ve always loved He Went to Paris beyond the ones mentioned. Deeper cuts for me are Gypsies in the Palace and Livingston Saturday Night.
One Particular Harbor for me, but sometimes I also just feel the drunken need to belt out Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw?
Top 5 in no order: Noodlin' In My Canoe Again Take Me Away to Vista Bay (The Drinking Song) I Felt Her Hard (Seltzer) The Poor Poughkeepsie Pirate A Cavalcade of Whimsy (The Drinking Song)
Always was funny watching boomers get mad about rap or whatever and have that song blaring while they do it.
We do a Margaritaville sing-along between the 3rd and 4th quarter on the jumbotron every home game. Gonna hit different tonight. RIP to a real one.
Come Monday Son of a son of a Sailor Margaritaville Why don’t we get drunk Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes
Pirate Looks at 40 (also love the Jack Johnson cover) When I lived in West TN and was in my mid-20s, a local winery would host a Jimmy Buffett night and give out free grilled cheeseburgers all night while a cover band played and took requests. It was so fun to eat about 7 cheeseburgers, get hammered, and enjoy the vibes.
This sucks, I wasn't a huge fan but obviously he was so popular in the south. I was talking to someone yesterday at this deli/bar place here in Portland because Margaritaville came on and she didn't know about all the insane amount of restaurants and hotels he owned. It's really hard to go to the beach in the Gulf without immediately thinking of his music.
full of goodwill and joy, using his gift to bring people together. Jill and I send our love to his wife of 46 years, Jane; to their children, Savannah, Sarah, and Cameron; to their grandchildren; and to the millions of fans who will continue to love him even as his ship now sails for new shores.
My dads side of the family is a Navy family. Him and all 4 brothers all served, grandfather was Navy, etc. A pirate looks at 40 and son of a son of a sailor are my favorites by far.
Thought this was cool https://americansongwriter.com/the-...-behind-jimmy-buffets-classic-margaritaville/
When the Coast is Clear Floridays West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown Lone Palm Captain and the Kid Biloxi Tonight I Just Need My Guitar Those are just a few off the top of my head.
Pascagoula Run Banana Republics One Particular Harbor Tin Cup Chalice (my favorite) A Pirate Looks at 40 Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season School Boy Heart Fins Boat Drinks Coast of Carolina Last Mango In Paris So many great tunes.
Obviously everyone is posting his lesser known songs that are also amazing, but Margaritaville is an absolute mega hit for a reason and I’ll never not love it.
relative of mine almost moved to his retirement community brand can't imagine the drinking going on at those places today
