i feel like this thread needs some idiocy this morning, so i'm debuting my SEC TOMATO rankings

Tier 1:
Alabama - leaves a bit to be desired early but embarrassing wins and embarrassing losses aren't the same thing.
Auburn - nice win over Houston, assuming you think Houston whose star player is now apparently J'Wan Roberts is the Houston we're used to. Pettiford looks like a good get.
Kentucky - another analytics guy finding success early, not surprised.

Tier 2:
Arkansas - same thing as Kentucky last year, which is i think an improvement??
Florida - I literally do not care about Florida basketball until the day Rioux starts playing
Tennessee - default Rick Barnes ranking

Tier 3:
Georgia - I guess Newell is my early favorite for foty
Mississippi St - I have literally zero faith in Janz but it's interesting that Tolu Smith is finally gone
Ole Miss - fuck Chris Beard
Texas - at least their loss was to a power conference team?

Tier 4:
Texas A&M - same team we've seen for the last 3 years, they'll struggle when Doug or Pat aren't there to give them 50 FTs per game. oh look, Wade Taylor just bricked another 3.

LSU - Will Wade has been gone for 3 years and I'm still loving it

I was trying to figure out why in the hell we were playing Montana, but now I think Barnes just wanted to scout/tap this guy up.

 

Pretty sloppy at times and it got a bit close before we pulled away last few minutes
