Smite is for babies. When you grow up, you drink Paladins.

I'm squarely focused on BF5, Red Dead 2, Black Ops 4, and Rainbow Six. I miss my Smite bros though.

The problem is that I realize how much I love the MOBA genre, and SMITE literally has no competition on console. I'd love to see LoL try to make a console version, but that's clearly not going to happen anytime soon.

Haven't played in 10 days, as I've been out of town. Excited to see what season 6 is all about, is Pele still OP after her recent nerf?

If y'all are trying to play, NomadHokie is my XB1 handle.

How often do y'all use Shogun's Kusari? It's my go to magic defense item on ability based warriors. I love the +20% attack speed the aura provides. Added boost that it helps the team.

Oops. Yep. I did. Genji's is better if you're mana hungry and ability based, but I love Shogun's on gods like Erlang and Osiris.

Probably the only two acceptable for Shogun's

Berserker for all others and glad shield for Arthur and Tyr

This game is damn near impossible without help in the beginning. Definitely play with one of us, so you don't hate it immediately. I can play on a smurf so you won't get folks who have logged the same hours I have into the game.

Disclaimer: So this is going to be mayyybe the nerdiest post I've ever made on this board.

I've been messing with hunter builds the last 2 days. I've been wanting to incorporate Runeforge into my Cern build, while keeping it at winter to see what happens. (Note: Runeforge stats in pic is +40 power, the current power of the item is +55, so add +15 to both for both builds).

This is also basing off the attack speed to power ratio mentioned here: http://team-dignitas.net/articles/blogs/Article/9846/a-guide-to-attack-speed-and-building-on-hunters
(Cliffs: the idea is that you try to maintain a 100:1.0 ratio, so 150 basic attack damage and 1.5 attack speed)

Which of these 2 builds is better? (Note: this is assuming I've sold Ninja Tabi after buying the health pot and replacing it with Atlanta's Bow in both builds). In build 1, you lose power, but get the very effective passives from Qins and Exe. In build 2 you gain significant power, mana, +10% cooldowns, and the O-bow passive. Lifesteal and pen are the same in both, you also get to 2.53 attack speed gaining +3 power from silverbranch in both.

    1. Build 1 is better. In 2nd, trans + runeforged doesn't make sense imo since as a hunter you need to value speed & pen.
    2. You should go boots then rush runeforged. That 15% will be more valuable early than late.

That's what I was thinking as well, though you still have +20 pen and Asi for lifesteal in both builds. You also have max attack speed in both. The cooldowns, mana, and extra power also sound nice. That said, exe is almost a requirement in all hunter builds with the protection shred. Qins would also be nice for melting high health gods.

I've also been struggling with the concept of health vs defense.... It's ideal to build both. A ton of defense with little additional health doesn't really help you much. In a standard game (3 phys and 2 magic), where players are building 1 to 2 pen items, when is it better to start focusing on health?

    For example:

    Build 1 has:
    189 Phys defense...
    168 Mag defense
    3300 Health

    Build 2 has:
    229 Phys
    208 Mag
    2900 health

Basically, the build is the same but one has Stone of Gaia and one has Spirit Robe.

Get thebes late game and build per your role

That was a Ne Zha solo build I was screwing with. I kind of like Shield of Regrowth on him, though it feels more like a troll item versus a useful one.

To keep it simple: You have large diminishing returns on protections after about 200.

It is, I'm just having a hard time fitting it in if I want to surpass 200 defense on both. I can get there, and then there's one more spot and it's Runeforge or Shield of Regrowth. Feels like Runeforge is in a better overall place rn.

Right now I use all 3 robes....

    Blackthorn
    Warrior Tabi
    Hide of the Urchin
    Rune
    Spirit
    Mantle

Fineokay's standard warrior build tries to max mitigations, his is

    Blackthorn
    Warrior
Void Shield (or Runic if going against magic)
    Hide
    Oni's
    Spirit Robe

    Watching this video

Why would he build Genji's over Shogun's here? He says in the video he needed more attack speed, and everyone knows the higher the attack speed the higher the damage cap. I get it that the CCR is kind of unnecessary, and he sacrifices 10 defense and 150 health, but to me that seems worth it for the added 20% attack speed he'd get.
