I think the weirdest part of this thread was posters not believing that someone who appeared healthy could pass away suddenly, and that murder was the only option. That was such a huge leap in logic. I understand that some of the was likely clouded by the initial post by his brother (which was totally understandable from his POV at that time), but I felt like I was taking crazy pills for a while.
Also while it might have looked like he was healthy we have no idea what his stress levels were like during his career, what his sleep schedule was like, he traveled a lot, etc. Those things affect you as much as what you eat or how much you exercise.
This is a great thread worth reading (only 7 tweets) but if you don’t read them all, at least worth it see this one
They are also more looking to see if he had a genetic predisposition to this cause of death as well. So it’s possible that was the cause.
This is definitely genetic. I have the same thing as do my mom and sister. Thankfully we have all been diagnosed and get regular checks to make sure that it isn't growing.
It must help the family getting closure on this knowing there was absolutely nobody to blame for his passing- not a foreign government, not a lack of AED, not drugs or an asshole with a gun. The guy was doing exactly what he loved in watching soccer, then he passed almost instantly.
Yeah his wife said on the pod with Peter King that there’s no best, so she hates to phrase it that way but the 2nd best (1st being at home with her) way is being at the World Cup doing what he loves and it being minimal to no pain
