The worst part is that Diouf has looked like a fucking idiot all game, every sliding tackle, getting his ankles broken twice by Vertonghen iirc. Then he gets the blessing of the football gods with the weirdest rebound coming right at his feet. Bullshit.
Three points. Hugo was horrible. I liked that Poch gave Rose and Aurier a run today but they clearly are not our starting fb’s.
If we do indeed play Barcelona in Los Angeles, it will be at the Rose Bowl. Just put out their list of cities and venues: http://www.internationalchampionscup.com/
Was driving home for the first half but got the 1st half highlights, Lloris fouled Sterling I believe outside the box for their penalty. Lovely.
Not sure why it took us so long to actually get into the game. Hope we can keep our momentum and drive after half.
ManC look so damn comfortable in possession sometimes, just unbothered. Lots of dumbass passes from us giving away our own possession has wasted most of the last 10 minutes imo.
Just was weird once Dembele was subbed off to have Dele back next to Dier playing box-to-box. Didn't get to attack.
Whole day reminded me of the Juventus debacle. Long accurate passes exposing a ragged back form (and a still mistake prone Sanchez). Team is just not quite good enough.
Too bad we can’t fix our backline issues by simply inserting one of the best cb’s in the world. Instead we’re selling him because we’re cheap and Poch isn’t playing him because he acts like a jilted lover when a player wants to leave. Need a way better effort next week as we’ve only got one game left before the cup semi.
Kane, as well as everyone else on the team, should also be getting paid their market value. Our team wage bill is closer to the mid table teams then the big five teams. If we want to act like a big club then we should be paying our players like a big club. Instead we’re letting world class players walk two years in a row.
I feel like this conversation is on repeat. As far as I've heard, the bank loans that the stadium needed to get built were negotiated with a predetermined wage structure that we could not exceed until we moved in. All of our spending, transfer and wage-wise, has been on hold more or less until we move in. I don't even know what to google in order to source this but that's my understanding. So soon, but not yet.
7/25 against Roma in San Diego 7/28 against Barca at the Rose Bowl 7/31 against AC Milan in Minneapolis No east coast this year :(
Moving to Phoenix this month so those two SoCal matches are fully within reach. Against two of the final four CL teams, chances are good that one of them will be the champions.
Haha I love this comment from reddit in response to Sanchez and Alli getting a rest and not even making the bench: "OMG THAT MEANS THEY’RE BEING SHUT OUT AND SOLD AT THE END OF THE SEASON LIKE ALDERWEIRELD WHO’LL NEVER START AGAIN /s"
Outside of Foyth, a near full-strength bench as well. So not a lot of opportunity to get a solid lead and then rest the stars for Saturday. I want a confident W though, that City performance, although expected, was still deflating.
Something is just broken in our service to Kane. Last game I could say it was Kompany always being there, knowing where the ball was coming in. But he needs more touches to get into the match.
Yeah it was soft. Would like to see our penalty numbers this year. He has to given up more than half it seems.
When timewasting goes wrong. BHA player going down with his hands on his face just halted his own counter.
Here's the penalty call. After Aurier pulls back on his shoulder, the dude kicks himself in the right shin and dives over like he got shot. https://www.clippituser.tv/c/wygavq
