Just saw the highlights, of course it was fucking Sonny who got us level. Man we've missed him, need him big time right now. Not a great 3 points but 3 nonetheless
I meant based on the performance, they were extremely valuable after seeing the other results for sure
Guess we have to change the thread after the loan today. Just hanging on until the DESK is reassembled?
A win puts us in 2nd, therefore it is extremely unlikely. That said, I dont hate the lineup given our injury sitch. It is good to see Wanyama on the bench, if he can just give us any kind of quality minutes down the home stretch it will be huge.
I actually wouldn't have minded Llorente being on here. He's got the monkey off his back for now and they are gonna sit in their own box inviting us to cross. What is little Lucas gonna do with that? Son and Lucas in forward positions fits better against sides that might actually attack us.
Most headed goals in the PL this season? Now that's an alternative table I would not have assumed that we topped.
Another 70%+ possession game. Benitez watched last match apparently, damn him, digging into our weaknesses of the distant past.
Lol "I believe Pochettino will make a substitution in the standard amount of time, 15, 20 minutes." Aka the 62-67'. No. Just no. You don't know shit about Spurs, commentator. Edit: Wow, I was completely wrong. 60' sub. Is this a new Poch?
We're largely in control of the match obviously but it takes but a moment for the counter to break and Newcastle to threaten sharply.
Doubling down, huh? Seriously though your defense looks solid enough to ensure you guys don't have a relegation scare this season, which is cool. Well done against City midweek.
I wasn’t wrong Defense has been strong all year. If we’re going to go down, Rafa isnt going to let it come from that side of the field. Hoping Almiron will be able to add that little extra we need in attack
It's that match fitness shit we do. We don't necessarily improve at this point of the season every year, it's just that everyone else gets more tired and we stay relatively fit (absent the injuries). Stamina-wise, we've got an edge at this point in the season and later in matches.
So we’re supposedly announcing when the stadium will open in the next week. Rumor is end of March or early April.
Whatever on the stadium, don't care. What goes on the pitch is what matters. And Kane being available in some capacity for Chelsea and Arsenal is immeasurably more important.
At this point, I’d rather them not play in the new stadium this year. It would just be something new to get used to at a critical point in the year.
The end of our home schedule is all against mid to bottom tier teams we should beat. Any games we can get in this year are games we don't have to pay to use Wembley for. I say get in it as soon as you can, even if that's just for the last 3-4 home matches. I don't think playing in the stadium is a negative we'd have to get used to, it would be more of a positive with how crazy the fans would be.
Harry always seems to come back from injuries earlier then predicted so I had him penciled in for Arsenal. If he can get his feet wet against Burnley and also play against Chelsea even better. Dele hopefully will be back for Arsenal or the second Dortmund leg. Both should back in form for the last stretch to clinch top 4 again. Finish top 4 and the season is not a failure. Next year I think is really going to be make it or break it time where we have to spend some money. If we don't we're going to lose Poch and other top players sooner rather then later. Really hope we don't sell Eriksen this summer so we get at least one last go with him in the new stadium.
