Just noticed the fireworks on top of the car make it look a bit the the Ghostbusters car.if that was intentional, nice touch.
Yeah but the song that was playing was my bologna by weird al
Just finished. Ep 8. absolutely wrecked me.
I want S4. But I also want it to be the last season.
How about the license plate on the commandeered vehicle?
Did not notice that.
Just finished, man what a great season. Ending was obviously just crazy sad. I completely understand Joyce wanting to leave but it’s still a huge dick lunch to her kids. Not sure why anyone would want the show to end on that sad of a note.
S4 will be around Christmas time next year imo
At the rate they’re going it will be the kids graduating college
Wasn't season 1 around Christmas time? I know season 2 was around Halloween.
I’m just saying it makes sense since Mike and Eleven said maybe they’ll see each other again around the Christmas break
This is why I pay $15.99 a month. Good call Dump
Pffft. You need to upgrade to the gold trophy point deluxe package. It comes with a 3 trophy point sign up bonus and .5 trophy points on every anniversary. Only 759.99 billed annually.
Gold-only dump insights are the best part.
I don’t understand trophies.
Scoop Troop top notch TV legitimately pissed when it would switch over to the kids or Hop/Joyce. S4 want 100% Scoop Troop 100% of the time
mike says he got the okay to go visit el for thanksgiving and then said he was thinking el could come visit for christmas. so season four will probably cover that entire period.
"did you talk to your mom about thanksgiving?"
"yeah... yeah, i got the okay. i'll be there"
and mike specifically mentioned christmas day. so maybe that'll be the finale like july 4th was.
Finished last night, great season! Hopefully S4 wraps it up.
Really great season of television, and a huge improvement on s2.
I could say that I didn't cry like a baby during Hopper's voice-over at the end, but that would be a lie. Perfect sendoff for the best character on the show, and it won't be the same without him if they do another one. Kinda hope this is the last one, tbh. But obviously it won't be. I think the post-credit scene is intentionally misleading re: Hopper still being alive. That would make zero sense and would cheapen everything that happened previously, but at the same time I'm not gonna complain about more David Harbour if they bring him back somehow.
Thought the writers really killed it with the last couple episodes. Subverting the tropes of the teen romance with Steve/Robin (and holy shit does she look/sound like her mother), and essentially taking El's powers away and making the rest of the kids pick up the fight against the Mind Flayer. Loved that Billy briefly regained his humanity and redeemed himself, great performance by Dacre Montgomery.
Such a fun show. 8 episodes is perfect, but I love the world of Hawkins. Hope they stick the landing with season 4.
Such a good season with so many memorable moments. Probably my favorite of the series so far.
Dusty bear and suzie singing, and Steve saying for the millionth time he works at scoops ahoy were two highlights.
Steve’s entire story arc has been amazing.
I though Montgomery played billy perfectly The whole series.
The Neverending Storyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
I need a spin off with Steve, Robin, Dustin, and Suzie solving crimes together
i always see him as the suicide bomber in Contact
it was my bologna by Weird Al Yankovic - when i heard it i was surprised as i thought that song came out in the late 80's or early 90's. Song came out in 1979 - damn Weird Al been doing it for a long time
So what I gathered is that My Sharona was playing in a memorable scene in a Winona Ryder movie. On the right track?
Am I the only one that thinks the alleged hopper death was unnecessary? I guess maybe it's a way to force the story outside of Hawkins?
I dunno, not really a fan of it or the splitting up at the end. But that's not to say it wasn't an amazing season.
Fat Rambo had to go out a hero. It is known
It just gives them more options moving forward and way to further get 80’s pop culture involved
Billy briefly being able to defy the Mind Flayer was actually shown earlier in the season.....when he chose NOT to take Karen Wheeler and instead told her to stay away from him.
Not even thru 2 episodes of season 3 yet and holy shit at this score/soundtrack
It's called having stakes. What point is a story when everyone lives at the end of the season?
It's my issue with marvel movies. Endgame was great because there was the threat of losing someone, when prior to that it was always "oh they wont kill xx".
The goddam Russians
Cracked me up
As reported by Uproxx, fans have been noticing some bizarre updates to Harbour's Instagram account over the past week. Harbour has been quietly changing his profile picture to display various numbers. So far, the profile pic has switched from 6 to 1 to 8 and back to 6.
What does this mean? The theory (which is growing more plausible with each update) is that Harbour is slowly listing the phone number for Brett Gelman's character Murray Bauman, as glimpsed in Season 3, Episode 6. Bauman's full number was shown to be (618) 625-8313. And as it turns out, if fans dial that number they can hear an answering machine message where Bauman urges Winona Ryder's Joyce Byers to meet him in person to discuss something important. The message cuts off before Bauman can elaborate, but many are speculating it has to do with Hopper's fate.
decently produced recording actually 618-625-8313
I feel like that should be Nancy.
Just finished the series. Yet to check Reddit for threads regarding this, but what immediately stuck out to me is the finale's end-credits scene. The two guards are going to get a prisoner to feed the monster and they hesitate at one cell when a guard says, "No, not the American."
edit: Now see that it's been discussed the last two pages.
I got somebody over here trying to tell me that season 3 was by far the worst yet and I'm not going to lie I am not handling it well.
First episode is fucking hilarious.
