Anyone ever used this? Thinking of renting one this weekend for a few hours to just chill and get away from the child.
IDK if a joke, but the only thing I'm worried about is them creeping on us and peering through windows.
someone was definitely watching because the sheriff showed up at our doorstep with our toddler. maybe had an hour to ourselves with the house empty. paid for a whole day too. huge waste. never again.
Yeah, this whole thing feels like a recipe for disaster. It's super weird to think the homeowners are sitting inside while you swim in their pool?
doing this instead of just going to a public pool or a water park is the most deranged shit. also hey here’s another factor, pools suck man, they’re boring as hell
you’re starting to not believe i rented a stranger’s pool for my toddler so my wife and I could have our house to ourselves?
Owning a pool is like 100 grand. That's a bit different. I also do go to public pools. This use case is a bit different
Neither really fit my agenda for a few hours to relax and hang out for an anniversary. I could just go to an expensive dinner, but that just seem redundant
Basically. It's basically like you rent a back yard vs an entire house for AirBnB. Or Turo, but they aren't sitting in the backseat. If the ppl aren't around it's really nbd
I'm not sold on it & do agree it's weird if they are home. Kid is great. I don't have grandparents or any family close to me. I don't have the luxury many do of "dropping him off at the grandparents", which is what I was told to do vs taking him on vacation with me. Trying to do something different on an anniversary then going spending the same amount of money on dinner. Relax in peace at a pool for an afternoon, go to a brewery, then head back early evening. Going to a water park doesn't really fit into that agenda. Water park appears to be equally or more expensive
Nothing says anniversary romance like driving to some random neighborhood and swimming in a stranger’s pool for a few hours before going to the local brewery for some double IPAs.
