I’d advocate the Patriots make this trade, but they don’t have two young defensive starters worth a shit.
Bill Barnwell and Pablo Torre were talking about how there is absolutely no way the Texans can trade Watson to the pats for PR reasons, so that’s likely what will happen.
Dan sileo I think has a mental disorder, he’s constantly posting random breaking news in sports that I’m not sure has ever been right
▪ Here’s how Jimmy Johnson said he would approach the Deshaun Watson situation if he ran the Houston Texans “You knock on [Watson’s] door, have a couple beers, say, ‘How can we work this out?’ “And if he says no, go back and knock on his door [the next day] and say, ‘How can we work this out? Put it on him, if he says ‘I need this,’ work together and get this done. I wouldn’t let him go. They’ve got no shot if they let him go.” Meanwhile, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said of Watson: “He’s not planning to speak to anyone with the Texans. He’s not planning to report. Who blinks first in this game of chicken? I don’t think he’s going to budge on this.” Johnson said “Watson is worth more [in return] than any trade I’ve ever seen.”
A report saying Watson's agent told the Texans he's not reporting, and a report saying Watson isn't planning on reporting, are different things. The former is the report his agent said wasn't true.
What’s with people saying Herbert is better than Watson? It’s not the first time I’ve seen this argument either. Probably the second dumbest argument behind Watson isn’t as good as 2007 prime Brady so he’s not an elite QB
he turns 23 next month, so game 1 he’s only 2 years younger than Watson this year not too big of a difference
QB’s are going to Super Bowls at 43 now a days Watson has 20 more years left* *I can change my mind if he goes to the Jets
talented QBs on rookie deals are about as valuable as you can get would still prefer Watson as my QB any day of the week
This was the exact offer I thought of when I saw that Houston writer suggest it would take "two 1s, two 2s, and a couple young starters on defense." Seemed oddly specific and almost tailored to Carolina, although I'm sure the Jets and Dolphins could do similar or better based on their picks.
The Herbert stuff all started when Orlovsky said the chargers were one of the teams that shouldn’t be calling Houston for Deshaun
That’s a stiff ask. The picks I could stomach, but the future of the D is based on Chinn, Brown, and Brian Burns. Not much point in getting Watson if it costs any chance of a good D for 3-4 years. Id give them Teddy and a large bag of footballs.
Lovie hiring his son... again He never played football and was a history major in college. He's never had a job his dad didn't give him
an extra year of team control agewise because herbert left as a senior and watson left as a junior is going to be worth like $40 million by the time herbert's rookie deal is done
i've never been outside of weddings. is that what church is like? seems way different than i expected
No, this is a corny youth pastor. Went to several Christian youth camps in middle school/high school and it's usually people like this leading things.
