Not sure if anyone is into this podcast but it is legitimately amazing Peterborough’s chairman Darragh MacAnthony is very very candid about running a League One football club. Like two of the podcasts are all about the finances of Peterborough If you’re interested in the finances of the EFL this is probably about as candid as you’ll get about it
I really liked the most recently one as well as the “deep dives” into finances of efl clubs warning that he is very anti lockdown which isn’t too surprising as no fans really fucked a lot of football league clubs
new season just started today. once again if you have any interest in the financials of the efl this is a great listen
Peterborough trying to raise £1.5m via a bond offering. Looks like a 5 year term. 9% interest paid yearly with a 15% bonus if they’re promoted to the championship during the 5 years https://www.tifosy.com/raises/peterborough-united-bond
I know they’ve been dreadful in the champ, but I think they could have a good season in league one next year and come right back up They have two former league one golden boot winners and they’re likely going to sell Ronnie edwards, a center half, for like 12-15m, so they could have a bit of money to spend over the summer too
