It was very Disney.
The tracker has to either be embedded in baby yoda (which I feel like someone would have removed by now) or its somehow sync’d to his DNA/some other biological marker.
It was my least favorite as well. Not bad but just nothing earth shattering. Didn't seem to move the plot forward that much.
might be what the doctor was trying to do
I just want to know what the story is on the back woods milf who was money with the blaster rifle
If I know the Star Wars fanbase, there's already a nerd second-drafting a ten-thousand word backstory for her on wookiepedia
Rewatched the episode and man the widow was thirsty af
Will watch episode.
Will not watch preview till u get back from seeing the movie.
So far I've seen the two trailers and that's all I need
Oh my god
1 through 3 were fantastic
Wish 4 went in a different direction
I liked the 5th episode. Wonder who it was that showed up at the end of it
Amy Sedaris showing up was cool, and poor man’s Jonas brother rookie is Bobby Cannavale’s kid who was annoying but I guess that was kind of the point
Using Maverick’s move in the opening scene was awesome.
The rest of the episode was pretty rough imo. Dialogue and score were super cheesy.
The 2 plot holes that keep bothering me
- He has the most sought after bounty in the sector and he seems to have no issue w people knowing about baby yoda.
- HOW THE HELL DO THE TRACKING FOBS work?!?!?
I don’t really agree with this. He didn’t intend to land on Mos Eisely, the space battle brought him there. Secondly, he tried to keep him in the ship, but he got out. I don’t think it’s plausible you can keep that type of a character from interacting with others during the course of a show. And frankly, at least for me, it works well enough.
He also had him out in the open at the bar/restaurant last episode too.
he didn’t know he was still being tracked until the end of the episode. he was ready to leave the kid there.
Sand people sneaky scare was funny.
Jesus don’t sneak up on me like that.
Thought this episode was too short and meh.
“... you done?”
Too short but loved the ANH fan service references.
Them going back to Tatooine makes me wonder if Boba might show up.
Seems unlikely that he would randomly drop out of hyperspace near Tatooine if he didn’t intend to land there. I do wish we had a better sense of his plan.
On episode 2 and I’m getting annoyed at how often this best in the business elite agent bounty hunter gets outsmarted or beat up
So it was all ok if he didn’t land specifically at Mos Eisely? (Or another famous starport in the traditional Star Wars universe?)
Edit: I just think this is nitpicking on the plot. Obviously fine if people think otherwise.
I wish he’d stop using the hairspray blowtorch
Thank god Gina Carano came through to show Mando how to be a badass.
Do we know who that was looking at the body
Marketing thought it played well with people who take their kids to bars like Chili's and TGIFriday's
People think it's Boba Fett because the sound the spurs made when he walked matched Fett from ESB.
It's probably whoever Gus Fring is playing.
Opening space battle felt a lot like the campy’ness of the original trilogy
Do Fetts live for 400 years or what? I thought Yoda was 400yo ballpark in ESB
that isn’t Yoda.
The Yodas are an actual race of people in source material or what?
this is the third one to exist as far as we know, I believe.
Yoda was 900
Is there ever a reason/explanation for why Yoda could flip around summersaulting like a banshee at the age of 880 but could barely move once he hit 900?
Those were a tough 19 years for the Jedi. Just look at Obi-Wan
not to be anal, but obviously a lot more existed. This is just the third* we've seen in canon.
*unless he's a clone of Yoda, in which case we've only see two, Yoda and Yaddle...do they all have "Y" names, George or were you just cute and lazy like with Order 66? So many questions
in canon? no
in reality? George is a shit writer
yea poor wording.
Latest episode was rough for me. A lot of nonsensical decisionmaking and the “adventure of the week” format is starting to grate a little bit as I realize how close to the end we are
While I still really like it, the show is frustrating. The first three episodes were a lot of fun but work better when binge-watched. Spacing them out revealed how thin they were, plot wise.
The next two episodes have been more plot-heavy and episodic, but at the expense of not really adding to the overall arc of the season.
My biggest problem with the past two episodes is they are 2/8ths of the season and are mostly inconsequential. They feel like Clone Wars episodes. Clone Wars had 22 episode seasons. You could afford to have a one-off "heroes go on planet-X and solve a twenty-minute problem" episodes when they're just 1/22 of the whole lot.
When you only have eight chances to tell your story, there needs to be more of a premium feel.
Especially given they are only 30 minute episodes so it's essentially 4 episodes compared to other big shows out there.
seems like Disney was maybe cautious given the streaming service being brand new and recent Star Wars productions have given them pause. Would expect season two to be much grander
