The Mole

Never watched the original and generally don't watch trash tv but I like this and The Circle.

Will is great.

 

Celebrity Mole was some of the greatest TV ever. Pumped Netflix is bringing this back.

 

The cliffhangers every episode are a thing of beauty

 

Just finished. Was a huge fan of the original but it didn't really age that well with the reboot. Still enjoy it though.

I stand by my thought that The Mole should get whatever the pot doesn't get

 

That's fine. They'd still be incentivized

 

The Mole does get paid to be the Mole I’m pretty sure.

 

They do, but a flat fee.

They don't get the full cut because there's no method to vote them out but that's easily fixable (ie you get 50% of all the money you lose for the team but if more than half the players vote for you that week you don't get anything)

 

It’s been speculated that it’s well above what the winner typically gets though

 

I hadn't heard that. Good for them

 

Enjoyed it but after like 4 or 5 eps it seemed fairly obvious who the Mole was based upon the solo interviews/commentary alone

Kesi always seemed like she was reading from a script (poorly) and her delivery was never natural or fluid. Very forced and robotic. I get that she was in essence acting the entire time but I can't believe she couldn't have done a better job or they couldn't have edited her face time a little better to make it seem even semi-authentic. Made the ending somewhat anti-climactic.

 

I think the anti-climax is they never talked about the winner's journey. That was my favorite part of the original

 

normally I'd agree but the winner got MORE than their fair share of screen time this season, right from the get go

also are their previous seasons/iterations of this available anywhere?

 

you have to buy the DVDs I think.
