it started with Justice League iirc which was total dogshit and then DC let him release his “Snyder Cut” to try and salvage and people seemed to like it more than total dogshit so that caused something to go in his head saying he can release total dogshit if he just releases a directors cut afterwards.
I take that back his Dawn of the Dead was ok but still worse than the original so don't know if he gets points there
Both of those are good movies. He’s rumored to be doing Dark Knight Returns. Basically he can make something good if he sticks to really good graphic novel source material.
it doesn't even make sense with this movie because there's no way netflix didn't give him creative control.
I'm confused why he would intentionally make a version worse than the one he wanted, since he said he wasn't restricted by Netflix.
idk I’m not watching this version and wait for the “good” one fwiw I enjoyed the long version of the Justice League so I’ll wait and see
it’s a pg13 v R issue from what I read. Netflix and he agreed on a pg13 initial release with a rated r version coming later. I would assume viewership of pg13 would typically be stronger?
Historically speaking, the PG13 rating has been sacred for the suits. Just glanced at box office totals and only saw 1-2 R rated releases in the top 50 domestic releases all time. With streaming and relaxing cultural standards, we see R rated movies make $1B in the present day.
Also lol at the people ITT acting like some of us are puritans or 'scared' for not watching Saltburn on a plane, assuming you know what the movie shows. I haven't seen and only have a cursory grasp of what is is depicted, but I would say that is irresponsible at best and probably closer to indecent.
Saltburn sucks and should not be watched on a plane. A dude licking a tub trying to taste cum after another guy masturbated. A dude fingering a chick on her period and then shoving his bloody fingers in her face/mouth before going down on her. A dude fucking a grave….
No one is watching your screen on the plane unless you are main-lining Fox News for the entire flight.
I came here to vent about Rebel Moon but see it’s been discussed a lot the last few pages. This is the worst piece of shit I’ve watched in a long time.
Rebel Moon is not a good movie. Rebel Moon is more plot hole and exposition than anything else. I enjoyed Rebel Moon.
Does anyone else have problems with this app being glitchy? Roku TV crashed 5 times last night while I was trying to look at shows/start a show. Every other app works normally but Netflix runs like it's stuck in mud. I gave up and watched Hulu
Yeah it freezes up a lot, and all of my button inputs don't register for 5 or 10 seconds. I've noticed it get worse in the past week
They need to fix. I like Netflix content but there’s not exactly a shortage of options to watch. I could let that bill go
Saw The Equalizer 3 was the most watched movie and it's a Denzel movie so I watched it. Spoiler alert on the premise... Spoiler It's the exact same concept as the 3 Amigos except it's not a comedy and Denzel is the only amigo. Literally same idea just done in small town Italy instead of small town Mexico.
Man Netflix really trying to make me not be allowed to eat meat anymore. Idk how many more of these shows my wife can watch that I can brush off and say we’re good.

I wish they would make the Myron Bolitar/Winn Lockwood III book series. One of my favorites, and it would make for excellent Netflix content.
Getting notice of a price hike on the day it's announced that netflix is getting wrassling is a bridge too far
I'm going to have to pay more for Netflix because some adults still like professional wrestling for some reason? SMH
Spoiler Fuck those cops and the FBI. Literally just decided not to investigate because it was a crazy story and then they blamed the victims without having any evidence that they were lying. That couple deserved a lot more money than they received.
May December was certainly something. Did they just make up half of this story? Also, the music was fucking terrible. Suspenseful piano music the whole time like it was some thriller movie
Anyone watch Griselda? Looked intriguing but doubt I can take Sofia Vergaea seriously as Griselda Blanco
