I haven't seen many of her movies, but I watched immaculate the other day and it is impressive how bad she is in it.
Small confusion after Baby Reindeer ep 1. Spoiler Newspapers called her a lawyer who had lost her job for stalking her old lawyer boss. However; there's no way, none, that she could be that bad writing and pass 5th grade English class, much less a bar exam. I don't understand, so I'm just going to assume that her lawyer life was all a lie, even if the newspaper said she was one.
how far along are you? I assume not far so I’ll spoiler Spoiler she was 100% a lawyer. They showed her degree and iirc in a later episode they mentioned it again.
Spoiler are you under the impression that the people who type broken stuff online ("I haz chikin" and the like) really think it's proper writing?
Spoiler Because she’s extremely mentally ill, she’s probably not in the same mind frame she was before
I'm two episodes into baby reindeer and not really enjoying it at all idk if it's a show I'm supposed to enjoy but why was this so popular?
it’s a car wreck of a true story and touches on a lot of heavy topics. If you’re not gripped after 2 or 3, then it’s not for you
Clown Baby was texting me while watching it that it was his favorite Shakespeare interpretation ever.
So, A Man in Full with Jeff Daniels is damn promising after watching the first episode. It's a 6 part limited series. The synopsis: Ruthless real estate mogul Charlie Crocker (Jeff Daniels) rejects weakness. But when his enemies topple his empire, how far will he go to get back on top?
just watched this and yeah I agree. She is an extremely attractive woman with an insane body but her acting better improve quickly or she isn’t gong to continue to get these roles.
It seems like every line delivery is so emotionless. It would have been a way better movie with the friend being the lead imo
She doesn’t have movie star charisma (Glen’s got it in spades). Sandra Bullock could make Anyone But You tolerable in her sleep.
That he basically learned nothing and no character growth. Still obsessed with his stalker/stalking, goes back to his abuser and agrees to work with him again, back at his ex's mother's house, and the last scene implies he's become Martha.
Because he took what seemed like a month or two off to deal with his mental health imagine the stress that put on the other employees at the bar
I mean he’s a victim of repeated sexual abuse and stalking. That’s going to mess with someone. Should they have made up a happier ending for you?
If this was pitched as a documentary no. But a drama needs some kind of narrative arc where the protagonist is changed by the events in some way to give a satisfactory ending. But after 7 episodes he's basically exactly where he was where he started (not dealing with his trauma, chasing fame, mooching of friends/family), which to me gives the feeling of wasting my time since there's no arc, just a circle. Which, again, is fine if it's framed as a doc or true-crime story, but not as a drama.
"Based on" being the operative word. In real life, he was also not a struggling comedian, he won multiple awards at sold out shows and was going on European tours during the same time period in which the show takes place.
Im sorry this victim of abuse and stalking did not have enough personal growth for you to enjoy the show. I think that’s maybe part of the point; this isn’t just a made up event with a happy ending that he became a better person from
I saw piers Morgan had the baby reindeer stalker on his show. Exploiting a severely mentally ill woman for clicks seems bad
Just watched baby reindeer episode 4. It was not enjoyable, but I couldn’t look away. My wife started getting frisky immediately afterwards (I was watching on my phone in bed with headphones in) and I had to explain that I just watched a dude take drugs and get raped for 45 minutes…not really feeling it right now.
The show was zigging the whole way then the last 5 minutes it zagged hard and said that’s all, folks. I hadn’t looked at episode count so it was a real knee-jerk of an ending.
My kids liked it and the historical references were fun for adults. It was a willy Wonka meets princess bride.
I'd watch a Jerry Jones documentary, but it's gotta touch on what a weirdo he is Guy jacks off into shoes
